Re: Evolving powers? This generally falls under the concept of the Radiation Accident, though I tend to be more lenient about the requirements. As with most things in gaming, talk with the GM and see what you can work out.

Re: Examples of low-powered/street level supers not from comics I think you're right. I don't know if it was missed or just hard to find, but I wanted low-powered supers, not just street-level characters. It seems there really aren't that many examples.

I baked some french fries (solely because I don't own a deep fryer), heated some chili to pour over them, then added lots of shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream. Next time I plan on making these, I'm going to buy some bacon bits, because it's really just not unhealthy enough on its own.

Re: Examples of low-powered/street level supers not from comics So far, the Mortal Kombat/Street Fighter stuff, though Sanctuary was another good one, though I'm not that familiar with it. My wife watches it, I just get the fallout when she geeks over it.

Re: Examples of low-powered/street level supers not from comics It is somewhat disheartening how many of these characters are just 'a dude with a weapon', though. It worries me that if I tried running this game, I'd wind up with a Dark Champions shoot'em'up rather than superheroes.

Yeah, from what I can gather (never read the HP books or seen the movies), Hermione is more of an Author Insertion Character, which can be, but isn't necessarily, a Mary Sue. Wolverine qualifies as being a Mary Sue from his incredibly outre' background(s), and the fact that he never fails, and everybody likes him despite the fact that he's kind of a jerk, and 90 percent of the women he meets (and probably some of the men) want to hop in the sack with him despite the fact that he's ugly and smelly.
