  1. Re: A Thread for Random Videos David Letterman's 'Top Ten Things That Sound Cool When Spoken By A Giant Robot', with a special guest star ...
  2. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat I'm playing in it. Seriously, I just can't do dark and grim.
  3. Re: New advantage idea: Permanent You can get another follower (or, I'd say, respend them if you don't want one). Batman respent Jason Todd's points on Tim Drake, after all.
  4. Re: Aquaman, Hawkman, Ant-Man - how would you run them? [aquaman]Nerdrageous![/aquaman] Sorry, couldn't resist.
  5. Re: New advantage idea: Permanent At that point, it's nothing more than a justification for a character to spend XP on increasing his attributes/powers. A permanent summon is a Follower.
  6. Re: The cranky thread My wife is at her grandfather's funeral today. The trip, as well as the ceremony (Catholic wedding ... lots of stand-sit-kneel-sit-kneel-stand) would have been very hard on me, so I couldn't go. I feel terrible about it. I should be there. I should be there to hold her and give her the emotional support I'm supposed to, but my body won't let me. I feel so incredibly, horribly useless.
  7. Re: Worst Hero Names (of your campaigns) I kinda like these.
  8. Re: Aquaman, Hawkman, Ant-Man - how would you run them? I probably wouldn't, just 'cause animal sidekicks aren't a superhero trope I'm fond of. If I were forced, I'd probably go with the 'special effects of the power are using animals to do stuff' rather than a Summon, just for simplicity's sake (and not having to find stats for 87 different kinds of animals).
  9. Re: Worst Hero Names (of your campaigns) I once created an anthropomorphic horse with a horn that had explosive powers. Yes, the Unibomber. I never did anything with her, though.

  11. Re: Worst Hero Names (of your campaigns) The main one I remember was a character with stretching powers, who was an ex-cop. He had a pretty good background, motivation, and the whole works until he came to the name, Captain Condom.
  12. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat "Look, all we really need to do is provide government mandated Flintstones Vitamins for the country."
  13. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat It's rooting for Duke vs Syracuse in the NCAA finals.
  14. Re: The cranky thread You really know how to make a pep talk, Old Man.
  15. Re: The cranky thread That nasty purple bruise I was talking about? Spreading and getting darker.
  16. Re: OIAID vs. Multiform for Bricks In 5e, at least, OIHID required some preventable action on the part of the character. I would say that Colossus simply activates his Armor/Density Increase powers and has no activation limitation on them, as I don't recall him ever being prevented from armoring up. DC's Captain Marvel is OIAID, though, as he has to say 'Shazam' to get his powers.
