  1. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. Sure
  2. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. Type faster
  3. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. "Envisioning" was implied with "opinion". That's the main reason, aside from not wanting to run a AU of someone else's established continuity, that I won't allow recognized characters to appear in my game without the serial numbers filed off and the name changed. Not worth the "but you did it wrong" or "he'd never do that" arguments that cluster up a game session.
  4. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. And here's the gist of it: character write-ups are just like opinions. They are not "wrong". They are just one person's opinion about a character. If the writer and/or artist wants Spidey to wield a rail car like a baseball bat, guess what, he'll do it.
  5. Re: Elven Rune Magic Baa-a-a?
  6. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. I wouldn't.
  7. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. What's a "Class 80"?
  8. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. Spider-Man stopped the Juggernaut. Very few can claim that.
  9. Re: Attractiveness - Comeliness Vs. Striking Appearance Now you've gone and done it. And put some pants on before you report.
  10. Re: Attractiveness - Comeliness Vs. Striking Appearance Yeah, but you did the first time around too, and you know how that turned out.
  11. Re: Popularity of Superhero Groups in a Shared Universe It was pointed out in JLA/Avengers that the DC heroes share a popularity among the masses that the Marvel heroes don't.
  12. Re: Time Frame for Appearance of Superhumans That's not counting the ones that end up squirreled away in secret labs being analyzed, dissected, vivisected...
  13. Re: Attractiveness - Comeliness Vs. Striking Appearance I thought we were having fun with it.
  14. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. Or people constantly under-rated Spider-Man.
  15. Re: Why Your Heroes Shouldn't Kill Seems to me Palpatine only lost his power when he threatened the well-being of one person. The people didn't have a whole lot of say in his downfall.
  16. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. Actually Gladiator is based off Superboy. The Elite Guard that the X-Men faced was based off the Legion. And for being Cosmic, Spider-Man laid out Firelord.
  17. Re: Why Your Heroes Shouldn't Kill The emperor must have thought it was needed since he built two of them. And since the Empire was a dictatorship his was the only vote that mattered when it came to deciding what was needed.

    Multiform

Re: Multiform "It slices! It dices! It even makes Julien fries! (Whatever those are.)" It's a line from a Dan Akroyd SNL skit.
  19. Re: Why Your Heroes Shouldn't Kill NOT. AT. ALL. It was a valid military target. Same as the munitions factories that were in place next to schools. "Sorry about the children, but you shouldn't have been using them as a deterrent to keep your facility from being bombed."
  20. Re: Attractiveness - Comeliness Vs. Striking Appearance I said "highest". Not "tallest".
  21. Re: Why Your Heroes Shouldn't Kill No it wasn't. It was a valid military target. Much more so than Alderaan was.
  22. Re: Why Your Heroes Shouldn't Kill Absolutely nothing. Why?
  23. Re: Popularity of Superhero Groups in a Shared Universe JLA and Avengers serve the same purpose in their respective realities. It wasn't until JLI that the League was really considered a world force.
  24. Re: Why Your Heroes Shouldn't Kill By law the clones weren't human. Palpatine wasn't above using anyone that suited his aims.
