  1. Re: Why Your Heroes Shouldn't Kill "Those who beat their swords into plowshares may one day find themselves under the yoke of those who kept their swords."
  2. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. Now, Hugh, don't go interfering with his delusion.
  3. Re: Why Your Heroes Shouldn't Kill There's always the mentality of "if the heroes are willing to kill, why should the villains keep the kid gloves on?"

  5. Re: Creepy Pics. Kinda reminds me of my ex-SiL.
  6. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. "Patrol your assigned airspace, Shoot down the enemy, Nothing else matters" Manfred Von Richthofen
  7. Re: Attractiveness - Comeliness Vs. Striking Appearance PRE tends to encapsulate too many things to me. Force of presence: the people that you automatically tend to notice when they walk into a room. Hitler wasn't great looking but he had a lot of charisma. Force of character: characters like Captain America and Superman, when they start talking people around them tend to listen. Self-confidence. Jadedness: the inability to be shocked because you've seen it before, and it was probably done better.
  8. Re: Attractiveness - Comeliness Vs. Striking Appearance I think he's thinking of D&D's Charisma
  9. Re: Attractiveness - Comeliness Vs. Striking Appearance I never got too deep into the debate. Steve asked for opinions while he was writing/compiling 6th. I gave mine where I had one and called it good.
  10. Re: Attractiveness - Comeliness Vs. Striking Appearance I've always used it. Sometimes it's as a modifier to someone looking at the character. "Which person is the most attractive?" does not always equate to the highest COM. It can also be impacted by the person's PRE. It also depends upon the predisposition of the character viewing.
  11. Re: Popularity of Superhero Groups in a Shared Universe Marvel was closer to 5.

  14. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. And I've already said that that build of Superman is too powerful for a cooperative game.
  15. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. Dr. Manhattan wasn't so much a character as a plot device. And I agree with you about Jimmy.
  16. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design.
  17. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. So what? It's a mental exercise. If you don't like the builds don't look at them. As for modeling, the characters themselves in the source material change too f'n much, just from writer to writer. Never mind major overhauls and reboots.
  18. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. If you have a problem with the escapism of the genre why do you even bother to try?
  19. Re: Rogue Syndrome It worked for Willow.
  20. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. Batman has plans for defeating his enemies. None of his enemies have the power level of the League members. 95% of Batman's rogues gallery are normals with various psychoses.
  21. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. Superman doesn't need to move planets.
  22. Re: Popularity of Superhero Groups in a Shared Universe Only because what he wanted Stark to build were patents privately held by Stark. Fury got his weapons. Stark got his company back. At least until Stane stepped in.
  23. Re: Gods with Off Switches vs. Loaded Guns. DC vs. Marvel in Character Design. Children shouldn't play with dead things.
  24. Re: Popularity of Superhero Groups in a Shared Universe At a point where Stark and SHIELD were the only stockholders of SI, Fury tried to strongarm Stark into going back to making weapons.
