A Personal Focus can be taken. It cannot be used by anyone else. The do-hickey can be the source of the power, but if taken, nobody has access to that particular power. My thought on this is such: in the first Blade movie his sword would destroy the hand of anyone holding it that didn't know how to stop that from happening. In the movie it is safe to assume Blade, Whistler, and as revealed, Deacon Frost knew how to stop that. Technically I'd make his sword a Personal Focus.

The point is with Contacts, if they have information they approach the characters with it. If the PLAYERS are stuck, they can check with their contacts to see if they have any leads or options. It's kind of a meta-game throw-the-dog-a-bone. A failed roll is either the contact has no info or the contact is not available (might be in a sticky situation and need help).

Always play to the intelligence/instincts of the creatures. One eulogy used to for an adventuring troop in an old AD&D campaign was : They were slaughtered by a horde of kobolds fully half their number.

I use Hero Central to save character pictures and Hero Designer exports of the characters with those pictures. That way if I want to post a character to a forum thread and I then later update the character, the post on the thread will be updated automatically because it is a link. Cuts down on unnecessary forum posts a little. A LOT of folks use Hero Central as a means of scratching their HERO itch too. I just enjoy face to face too much and would rather do without than to do the online game. I need more face to face social contact besides my job anyway. I resemble that comment.

I'd say that the villain can interrupt the passing strike and preemptively thwack Blue Streak before the passing strike is rolled.
