  1. If you've never used the system before , I'd suggest you play RAW before trying to adjust for any perceived problems before you start. Start combat on Phase 12. That alone, along with the target taking double stun for being out of, and not expecting combat will give you your ambush effect.
  2. All of them would be built as experienced characters and take as many points as it took to reasonably build them.
  3. Starting characters are 350 points, FrEd, AP and Def caps vary depending on my mood and the expectations of the game intended and the players expected to participate. Generally they are anywhere between 40-60 AP and Def around 20. After the game starts characters can break the caps so long as it fits with the character's concept.
  4. Can't he have an AI run it? What you're describing isn't so much a contact use as a plot fill. Goober has to be at point A and point B at the same time. He should show up in the armor and get an LMD to do his guest appearances.
  5. Power Armor tends to be a character. In most cases power armor is linked to one person (either as a focus or OIHID), and only that person can use it. Tony Stark would take it wrong if someone else played with his armor without his permission. If you're running short handed because a player didn't show, have the GM run his character if need be. Contacts, imo, are and should be NPCs. Players can make their own alliances among themselves.
  6. Demolitions, possible complementary skills being Chemisty and Electronics.
  7. It depends on what you mean by "involve Iron Man in the story" and your GM. I normally only allow Contacts to provide information and/or equipment if the roll succeeds. If the roll fails, "I'm sorry. You just missed him."
  8. Demons are souls that were traded to the fallen angels and became powerful in their own right. Don't you watch Supernatural?
  9. Demons are also entities, either good or evil, that existed prior. Such as pagan gods.
  10. Buy Darkness, No Range, Personal Immunity, stipulate that it moves with the character, and then nobody can see through it.
  11. "Hard to hit" is just the mechanic. The actual effect is "harder to get an effective blow to land".
  12. Aren't Skills prohibited in Multipowers by RAW?
  13. That must be a difference between us, Shiva. I find that the more time I'm involved in character creation, I'm also spending that time, and more, thinking about who they are and how they would react in new situations. Which is a fairly critical point to telling stories. Adversity and character growth, or at least change is necessary. There's more to creatively spent time than sitting at the table in the game.
  14. Buy 5-point CSLs in sufficient quantity to add the number of DCs that you want (I believe it's 2 CSLs to 1 DC), then limit them to that maneuver.
  15. Did Dr. D ever date?
  16. You should sit back. You'd be more comfortable.
  17. Fate is a full-blown wizard in his own right. Having Nabu riding shotgun just makes him more powerful/knowledgeable.
  18. From Fifth to 6th edition, that is true. But from 4th to 5th the price of individual elements of characters were not that different. "Not that different" implies that changes were still made. Enough so that someone decided to increase the amount players started with.
  19. While fully understanding CC's points, I don't understand the "I can't/won't spend any time on a hobby I love because of the parts of the hobby that are tedious." If you feel that way, find a simple system that has pre-written adventure modules (which seems to really only be MSRP) and stick with that, using only pre-gens.
  20. EDM through mirrors.
