  1. Re: Jokes I went through the same thing with my son, then my wife and my son's doctor did an end-run around my opposition by claiming "hypospadia". When they "corrected" the hypospadia, they completely removed my son's foreskin. I saw no evidence that anything had been done other than removing the foreskin.

  3. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Keeping up appearances with the Steins Hyacinth "helps" her Jewish neighbors plan a bar-mitzvah. Hilarity ensues. Are You Being Served the Silence of the Lambs? Young Mister Grace hires a new assistant (Mr. Hannibal Lechter) and customers start disappearing. Hilarity ensues.
  4. Re: Cool Guns for your Games I liked that one, too. Looks like the definition of "festooned", doesn't it?

  6. Re: Profressions and how they are influenced by Superpowers Lifeguard: Able to swim (fairly) fast and hold his breath like a dolphin. Works in San Diego when he isn't surfing.
  7. Re: Cool Guns for your Games I liked running Western Hero campaigns at one time. I used to have two different replicas of Colt cap-and-ball revolvers and enjoyed shooting them both. Here's a few links to Civil War-era firearms: Online Catalogue of Civil War Revolver Replicas A Florida Civil War Reenactors' site Actually, if you Google "old west" OR cowboy firearms you'll find a lot of examples.
  8. Re: Enough to Destroy A Planet? I can't remember the movie you're quoting from, but I remember the line. Rep to you, sir.

  16. Re: Lame or awesome? Cosmic VPP doesn't allow you to do anything that hasn't been figured out in advance so you know what the effects are. You still have to do the math and make sure they come in under the power cap of the VPP in question. And meet with GM approval.
  17. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? Watched Friday night's Smallville episode (I TIVO it). Wondertwins (they weren't called that, exactly) Zan and Jayna try to help the red/blue blur but screw things up. Last night I also watched "No Dog Left Behind". My eyes leaked several times during the show, but I'm kind of a softy when it comes to "saving a dog" stories.

  19. Re: Lame or awesome? I had a friend whose dad was riding his Gold Wing along a 2-lane highway that went through a marsh. He was doing about 60 on cruise control when he suddenly experienced chest pains and, inexplicably, found himself on the back seat of his own bike, still cruising at 60, but unable to reach the controls. Carefully, he ass-walked forward until he could grab the controls and bring the bike to a stop at the side of the road. A truck pulled up behind him and the driver got out, asking "are you all right?" The motorcyclist said "I think i'm having a heart attack!" The truck driver had seen everything and was able to explain that a duck flew out of the reeds at the side of the road just in time to smack the motorcyclist in the chest (and immediately disintegrate). My friend's dad had a big bruise on his chest for a week or several after, and avoided riding through marshes from then on. Lame: I shoot ducks at my enemies. Awesome: (However many dice) EB, Indirect, any direction. SFX: High-speed duck collision.
