Re: How can mutants be discriminated against while other "supers" get a pass?
I'm starting to get it. It's sort of like the Communist-Under-Every-Bed hysteria of the '50s. ISTR reading comics way-back-when where the badguys were either gangsters or "capital-C-for-Kremlin" communists (with the occasional creature from Outer Space!!™).
Of course you realize that movies like I was a Teenaged Mutant would be made (and a whole bunch more like it).
Re: Creepy Pics.
That's problematic, since I already have a lot of these pics on my HD and have no idea where they came from originally. I started doing things that way back when I really started finding lots of good pics online, many of which actively prevent hotlinking.
Re: Creepy Pics.
I haven't figured out how to hide the thumbnail, but it's pretty small and if you read the warning, you'd know it's probably NSFW too, so don't click on it, especially if your boss is looking over your shoulder.
Re: Creepy Pics.
The guy who drew Archie comics and set the style of all the characters also did cheesecake pictures. Spoilered for 1940's cheesecake (Probably NSFW).
Zombie Michael Jackson?!?
I was sure it would be old man Smithers!

Re: A Thread for Random Videos
I should probably note that I watched that show when it aired in '77. I was almost nineteen and Elvis wasn't dead yet.
Edit: I was talking about my own post and tkdguy post-bombed me outta position.
RE: Starship Farragut; I'm an old Trekkie. Star Trek in any form is better than no Trek at all. The only fanfics I ever read about Star Trek were the ones prin tedc on dead trees in pre-internet America. I did, however read Star Trek: Door Repair Guy about 10 years ago.
Re: Unusual Magic Items
In one of my Fantasy hero campaigns, one item of treasure was a brown paper bag labeled: Better than Complete Happiness. Inside the bag was a freshly-made ham sandwich. If kept in the bag it would not spoil. If eaten, another identical ham sandwich would appear within an hour.
One of the lakes in my fantasy world was created when someone forgot their flask of everlasting water in an open field. Eventually, it tipped over and the lake was the result.
Re: A Thread for Random Videos
I don't understand what this is about, except that the cameraman really, really likes cleavage:
