  2. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Nah. The child-bearing hips would give her away. Besides, I already did Scotsman Superman. See?
  3. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? I've been grazing Youtube for music videos. Here is one recent find:
  4. Re: A Thread for Random Videos Thanks, Dave! I might just start eating corn again. I'm spreading it as fast as I can. Would someone get him for me?
  5. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine ...And here's a gender-flipped Superman, Superwoman!
  6. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine I saw another re-imagining of Superman (might be the 52-reboot -- if so I hope they keep him!) Here's my take on the look: This superman is not a tool of the establishment (that's Batman's job, sort-of) but a champion of the weak and oppressed. He is more of a fireman than a policeman and, according to the articles I've been seeing, is perceived by the "establishment" as more of a loose cannon than a hero. The reason there are two attachments below is I discovered his boots were not as dark as I had thought so I edited and re-uploaded the image. Can anyone tell me how to delete unused/unwanted attachments? And yes, he is wearing jeans.

  11. Re: Jokes Five surgeons are having drinks together at a surgical convention and making jokes. The first, a Florida surgeon, says: “I like to see accountants on my operating table, because when you open them up, everything inside is numbered.” The second, a Michigan surgeon, responds: “Yeah, but you should try electricians. Everything inside of them is color coded.” The third, a California surgeon, says: “No, I really think librarians are the best; everything inside of them is in alphabetical order.” The fourth, a New York surgeon, chimes in: “You know, I like construction workers. Those guys always understand when you have a few parts left over.” But the fifth, from Washington D.C. shut them all up when he observed, “You’re all wrong. Politicians are the easiest to operate on. There’s no guts, no heart, no balls, no brains, no spine, and the head and the ass are interchangeable.

  13. Re: Dieselpunk? It's a sad story whenever a vessel sinks with all hands. Cool sub, though! Repped. Didn't France have a "battlecruiser submarine" with two turrets prior to WWII? More examples of dieselpunk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJQdkB0t8T4 When I was growing up there was a copper or brass ashtray that sat on our mantelpiece wherever we lived. It was a souvenir of the 1933 World's Fair at Chicago. Dunno which family member obtained it first, or how. I'm pretty sure some of these cars might qualify as "Dieselpunk" Not definitive, but I think this has possibilities Certain aspects of Batman TAS are dieselpunk-flavored I really liked the art-deco vehicles and settings.

  15. Re: Jokes After that one, these will seem inconsequential: Man who wants pretty nurse, must be patient. Passionate kiss, like spider web, leads to undoing of fly. Lady who goes camping must beware of evil intent. Squirrel who runs up womans’ leg will not find nuts. Man who leaps off cliff jumps to conclusion. Man who runs in front of car gets tired, man who runs behind car gets exhausted. Man who eats many prunes get good run for money. War does not determine who is right, it determines who is left. Man who fight with wife all day get no peace at night. It takes many nails to build a crib, but only one screw to fill it. Man who drives like hell is bound to get there. Man who stands on toilet is high on pot. Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement. Man who fish in other man’s well often catch crabs. Of course, I posted them anyway.
  16. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... I can hardly wait to hear more! Someone get Lucious for me, huh? I gotta spread it.
  17. Re: Creepy Pics. You'd trust the guy driving this van around your neighborhood, right?
  18. Re: Anthropomorphic/Furry HERO Resources In the mid-Eighties I used to run a roll-your-own fantasy campaign with "furry" nonhumans as well as largish intelligent birds with fingers like archeopteryx. The birds were too heavy to fly but could glide without using magic. That was about the time that Fantasy Hero (and other Champions offshoots) started appearing in our FLGS.
