  1. Re: Super Transportation Edit: *There will be a momentary delay while I try to say what I intended to, rather than what I posted in the first place.* Would it have been less expensive to buy just one attack with a "sticky versus flammable targets" advantage/limitation in the first place, then pay 5 points to have another so you have two guns, one dorsal, one ventral (and presumably crew-served)?
  2. Re: The cranky thread It's the end of the month and my anxiety makes it difficult to get out of the house and pay the bills. Mental illness is weird and frustrating. I'll get around to it, but many years of not quite enough to pay bills has trained me to be anxious, and even though I'm on Social Security and getting military retirement (part of which is disability pay) and paying the bills should be no sweat, the primitive part of my brain gets all panicky and wants to stay under cover. "No safe! You stay home!"
  3. Re: Quote of the Week From My Life. Please share the results when you do. Repped, of course.
  4. Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore Now look what you've done, Nevelon. You've rendered Mattingly Speechless!
  5. Re: Steampunk - Source Material The only thing that could possibly be cooler than that would be if it were a sterling engine using the heat of the wearer's head for power.
  6. Re: "Neat" Pictures Nope! It appears that Toto is "air humping"; the canine equivalent of "air guitar".
  7. Re: Cool Guns for your Games Not a gun, but relevant: Want.

  9. Re: A Thread for Random Videos One of my HS chums posted this account of his family's search for a Christmas tree.
  10. Re: Jokes This from Jeff Foxxworthy: "It's hard to investigate a redneck murder. All the DNA is the same and there are no dental records."
  11. Re: The cranky thread Emetrol and Pepto (and their generic cousins) are the best meds I've found for nausea. Immodeum works for the "runs" as well, but until you get the nausea under control nothing else is much help. Make sure you don't go too long without effective treatment.
  12. Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore I like a good Madeira (diluted 50% with water) with summer sausage (or liverwurst), aged cheddar or Swiss (Jarlsberg is my fave) and some English table water biscuits (crackers).
  13. Re: Interesting discussio on the future of Hero System on rpg.net Me? I'd like to see a 6ED version of the old Champions rulebook with the rules in the book. One volume, some reading, and you're ready to play.Likewise, I'd like to see the basic rule set included in genre books. People new to hero buy the genre books thinking they're getting a complete game. Then they see the cost of the actual rule books and wonder if they've been scammed. "You mean I have to buy more very expensive books before I can even begin? WTF?!?"
  14. Re: Interesting discussio on the future of Hero System on rpg.net Various of nature's creatures have characteristic reactions when startled or panicked: Armadillos leap into the air (presumably to facilitate rolling into a ball). Deer instinctively freeze (much to the detriment of drivers and motorcyclists, especially the latter). Skunks spray a foul-smelling liquid. Gamers suggest revisions to their favorite system.
  15. Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore I don't speak squeamish. The second link was worth pictures of animal-less heads, and is possibly NSFW, but solely due to subject matter (Seduction in 16th century England). No nudity and no NSFW language. It is, in my opinion, possibly the funniest seduction scene in the history of Cinema.

  19. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? This bit with James Randi (long).
  20. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? Just one: Daniel interpreting the intel on base makes for dull TV (at least where that character is concerned.)
  21. Re: Tigra (Marvel Universe) Dude, I married one of 'em! Much to my embarrassment, twice!
  22. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? I think that society has, for the most part, evolved in a good direction when a "little Girls'" program like MLP can be good enough to spark serious discussion without any self-conscious humor. I'm planning to watch the Eureka episode where everybody is animated like Christmas characters in a Special. I Tivoed it and am just waiting for my night-time meds to kick in so I can settle into my easy chair and be amused.
