  1. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Oh! When I translated ninja from English to Japanese, it said ninja in the translation box and I assumed the japanese characters above it must mean ninja also.
  2. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine More. This time it's an Axis bad-guy team. Sturm-Krieger What if Kal-L (or somebody very much like him -- perhaps a near-twin from a parallel universe?) had landed in Germany? And was blonde? 日本語* (The Ninja) Not just any ninja, but The Ninja! As if there were only one. The Red Skull This is what he looked like before his gender reassignment surgery. Valkyrie Velocità He's fast! He's Italian! He's Loyal to Il Duce! *According to Babelfish, anyway.
  3. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Even more (because I'm bored!*) Magicia, the Pink Witch This is an invented character. Just imagine Samantha from Bewitched during WW II. If there's superheroes running around I don't suppose witches would need to keep such a low profile, would they? Catman Yes, he does look like the character voiced by Adam West on Fairly Odd Parents. Coincidence? I think not! Kitten Bulletman Bulletgirl Bozo the Iron Man I'm not making this one up, people! Black Condor Aarn "Iron" Munro *Bored-bored-bored-bored-bored-bored-bored...!
  4. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Green Flash I did this guy before but I put the wrong accessories on his head. I had forgotten that the Silver-age flash has lightning bolts, not wings.
  5. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Firebrand I It's up and running again. If you're wondering, that really is a sheer pink shirt he's wearing. That's the way he really was. It was the forties and nobody thought about those things. Unless they already knew about those things. And had an interest. Like his sister said: "Why does a confirmed-bachelor playboy need a bodyguard?"
  6. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Still golden-age, but different ones (some of which weren't around until the Silver age or later): The Crimson Avenger I gave him a costume change. Like The Whisper above, CA started out as a guy in a suit and a mask, but eventually donned brightly-colored longjohns like any respectable superhero (spandex came much, much later than the Golden Age). Wildcat Firebrand I wanted to do the brother she replaced, but Fábrica de Heróis doesn't seem to be working as I type this. Hopefully they'll have it up and running soon. Doll Man Doll Girl
  7. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine More Golden Age Heroes: Links to articles of the characters provided when possible. Uncle Sam Neon the Unknown Phantom Lady Robotman The Whisper There were so many guys in suits wearing a mask and fighting crime that I just made one up to represent the whole bunch. I'm almost certain that the name has been used before, too. After a bit of research I find I didn't miss by much: The Whisperer (old time radio show).
  8. Re: A Thread for Random Videos A Michael Moore movie I might enjoy watching? Why, it's a sign of the apocalypse!

  10. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine The other guy was driving a car. Most of the Golden Age group of heroes from the campaign I ran: Tex Jones The Intrepid Aviator The Hunter International Adventurer Elastico American Hero with an Italian Accent The Elemental Master of the Elements
  11. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Since so many others are posting (idealized) self-portraits, I thought I'd do the same. SSgt Baloo Though you see me with a walking staff above (I have two), I usually use a cane, and have been using a walker. Since a few days ago, I am now able to get around with my cane alone, albeit slowly and painfully. I'm seeing daily progress and have every hope of getting around normally in a month or so.
  12. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine International Catalogue of Superheroes: The Red Bee Wikipedia: The Red Bee Thread from DC Comics Message Board: Rod Reilly (Firebrand)and the Red Bee - Lovers in the 40s! Make it happen! Geocities Fan Article: The Red Bee I I hope some of this was useful in answering your question.
  13. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine More Golden-Age characters: Hourman Dr. Fate Green Lantern The Atom The Red Bee
  14. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine I found an even better representation of Bob Tiger: Tawky Tawny Bob Tiger looks a lot like the above picture except BT is more likely to have a beer than a martini and He wears Jeans, a tee-shirt, sandals and denim jackets. Tawky Tawny is much more urbane and formal than Bob Tiger.
  15. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Here's some more. I did some of the Golden Age DC heroes as best I could. Superman I didn't think the GA Superman was quite as overdeveloped as he is today. Even the of him is athletic and not excessively muscled. Ideally if there was a body type between Super and Atleta that would be just right. The Bat-Man Wonder Woman I always preferred the skirted outfit with the modesty panties over the star-spangled bermuda shorts they put her in shortly after she was introduced. The Flash Yeah, I know, but it was the only winged helmet in the inventory. They need to include a "soup plate" helmet (In British: "tin hat" or "battle bowler"). With wings. And ankle wings as well. That's it for now.
  16. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine I'd actually been mulling over what to do with the cyclopse option for quite some time, but it wasn't until last night that I remembered Leela (I haven't watched Futurama in a week or so and due to my meds I'm easily dis... Oooohh, shiny!) Today I had to look up Clobberella to find the episode name. From there I found a good picture of the team.
  17. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine I guess you'll have to photoshop those round thingies in, then? Use a male silhouette and don't bother with any other details except the circley things (henceforth CTs for short). Make 'em the color you want and save just the part of the picture with the CTs. Then you can copy the CTs onto a female figure that you have already finished except for the CTs.
  18. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine I can't claim credit for the lyrics, just the images. Except this first one. The New Justice Team Go go go New Justice Team. Fighting justice is their quest. Super King, Clobberella and all the rest. Here's to you, New Justice Team. Do the things that make a team. Help each other do some things. Winners don't use drugs! The New Justice Team! Captain Yesterday Captain Yesterday is fast Also he is from the past Not just fast but from the past Captain Yesterday! Super King Super King has all the powers of a King Plus all the power of Superman, Also he's a robot Ain't it cool? Super King you rule! Clobberella Clobberella beats you up Clobberella beats you up Who does she beat up? You!! Clobberella!
