Okay, I've done some research and crunched some numbers, and I've got the bracket set up. (Click here to look at it, if you'd like.) I'll start getting images ready and such, and I think we can start voting tomorrow. More details as they become available. Man, have we got some great matches in the first round!

Also interesting, I thought: a 13-12 female/male split. And the top four seeds are all girls: Supergirl, Ms. Marvel, Mary Marvel, and Wonder Girl. The highest-seeded boys will be Batman and Nova(!), and they could end up seeded as low as 8th/9th and both not get a first-round bye.

Here are a few ideas, depending on how powerful the character is (and/or how tolerant the GM is): Lightning Strike: Flash vs. Sight and Hearing groups, Area Effect Electrical Interference: Darkness vs. Radio group, Area Effect. This is great for disrupting communication among mooks and villains, especially if your own team has a Mind Linking telepath. EMP: Drain/Suppress vs all electrical devices, Area Effect (maybe even Megascale). Potentially expensive and unbalancing, but super effective! Data Manipulation: Telekinesis, only to perform Computer Programming, Security Systems, and similar skills, Invisible Power Effects. Allows the character to manipulate charges to rewrite hard drives and similar electronic media at a distance without anyone noticing. And let's not forget that electrical charges in motion naturally create magnetic fields....

The first group I GMed, the summer after my first year of college, was called Strike Force X. It was the 80s, and most of the characters were mutants. Go figure.

The group I GMed the longest had the team name Tempest. It was suggested, deadpan and completely in character, by one of the characters at a press conference, in reference to the amount of property damage the team's latest fight had caused.
