Re: The cranky thread (really Happy Thread now) Sounds good. Rabies vaccine lasts longer than the usual anyway and many states waive rabies if reason is given. And you could always look into a pet sitter.

Re: The cranky thread Sounds reasonable. We have a pretty strict protocol with vaccines at work. Someone monitors the cat for 15-30 minutes in case of reaction. We probably have a dozen per year. (Out of several hundred shots) And any that do have a notation in their chart that goes to whoever may adopt them.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER We've had a cat at the sanctuary that was freaked out by cameras. He'd run if you brought a camera in. Didn't matter if it was a big SLR or a tiny point and shoot. He'd know. And quite a few dogs dislike cameras. They freak them out for some reason.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER It took perhaps 40 shots for those two. Uncooperative little beasts. Roman on the other hand, took a bunch of nice shots. Now having 792 cats, there are bound to be some photogenic ones... Though all three of those are on my next mobile, and I had to take pictures for their cage cards.

Re: The cranky thread So yesterday, I get home to see if I can figure out why my pipes keep freezing, so crawl into my rather cold crawl space. Pipes are all insulated, but part of my moisture barrier is sagging down oddly, so I poke it and it sloshes. Thankfully a rep for Cavco will be here tomorrow, so we'll figure out what the real problem is. I suspect a leak in the kitchen drainage.
