Re: The cranky thread Sleep Apnea is pretty serious. I had it for years getting worse sleep as time went on until I got together with my wife who noticed my lack of breathing, we had to sleep in separate rooms since I'd wake myself up very loudly. Having her explain to the doctors actually helped to get a sleep study and 2 weeks after the study I got operated on. One thing I didn't know at the time, was that surgical correction is only successful 50% of the time. (or at least back then). Luckily, it did clear up the problem. I still snore a little, but I don't wake up the house. Losing weight, and muscle tone both help.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I don't wear watches. I wound up having a reaction on my skin under the watch band when I was a dish washer. (I think it had more to do with the soap they used.) And I just never started wearing them again. My wife tried for years, but I'm rough on them. I think the one that survived the longest was the swiss army watch. I find enough devices with the time on them. When I'm out doing photography, my camera has a clock in it as well.

Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore Well, the sauce I'll be making tomorrow probably belongs in the other thread, but since it's pizza sauce. A flat of organic tomatoes that will be stemmed and seeded, roasted lightly, deskinned, then I'll slow cook them with red wine, garlic, onions, and a blend of spices. Once they're in the pot, 4-6 hours. About 1/2 way thru I'll take a hand blender to the mix. Depending on thickness, I may add a potato.
