  1. Re: What happens in Vegas... Which would be the way to go if not on call.
  2. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Sorry, you're not eligible for the rep spice yet.
  3. Re: What happens in Vegas... Well, it could also be that everyone was on call. After all, one person that was repeatably called, didn't show. The others did. If the case was that people were off to do their own thing, then no biggie. It didn't sound like it.
  4. Re: What happens in Vegas... Visit is uneventful could mean that the trouble we were there for, didn't happen or were still waiting. And if I'm vexed, we must of expected to be able to contact all members of the company. So I think we were all on call. This part is actually immaterial except as a setup gag.
  5. Re: What happens in Vegas... I took the original post to mean that we were there working. Doesn't matter if it was Las Vegas or Omaha. A PC would of gotten the same treatment.
  6. Re: What happens in Vegas... That would be her response. Most of my other characters would have concern that he couldn't be contacted.
  7. Re: Musings on Random Musings A lot of highs depend on the person being stupid, so...
  8. Re: What happens in Vegas... Sorry, I take the line meaning that if the real reason had popped up, Zap would of still been AWOL. My thoughts were that everyone was on call if trouble happened. I think Kirby just twisted things to his own view.
  9. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Cute. Looks like a mini-version with more fluff of one we just adopted out.
  10. Re: Why are so many people upset that Cryptic is only using the Champions IP? The new Datsun Beta! Though I could see a car named a Beta, but more after the fish. Already done: 1977 Lancia Beta Montecarlo No fish involved
  11. Re: Level of success It's a neat idea and could see it used in some games, but most extra rules that get added tend to slow the game down more than they're worth. (Unless all your players are into it.) I had a complicated crit system that worked fine for fantasy, but could get icky elsewhere.
  12. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread That's cool Cancer. When my wife asked me to marry her, I did say yes, but she wasn't going to get the ring until the next evening when I had planned to ask.
  13. Re: The Last Word Well, mapquest and google both pull their map information from navtech. They do a fairly decent job, but there's always something that is just plain wrong. My wife worked for navtech and we still have a good friend there. We send him bits like that all the time. If it concerns his area, he finds it helpful, if it's someone else's problem, he likes pointing it out.
  14. Re: The Last Word I put some signs up on my flickr site, but I really wish I had taken a picture of this one: It won't help your directional sense at all since it's on a North-South section of road...
  15. Re: Musings on Random Musings Oh, and tonight I got carded for buying Guinness. Well, it is Utah...
  16. Re: Musings on Random Musings I think the clerk had just had a bunch of people buy liquor.
  17. Re: Musings on Random Musings Well, maybe I'm on the other side of the curve now. I was carded once for buying model glue. (I was 27 at the time) I was also asked for my ID at a supermarket. I was buying milk.
  18. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Did expense reports yesterday and had this WTF moment while filing a receipt from Jack in the Box. I got the senior discount.
  19. Re: I bought me some Stronghold! It was a very long delivery?
  20. Re: Champions AND Dark Champions
  21. Re: The Last Word Depended on the parents. For me, it would of been a horrible thing. Just an extension of the hell my life was Junior & Senior year. As it was, I managed to only come home for a month between freshman & sophomore year.
