Re: Musings on Random Musings Took us from November to March 26 to have our house done. And our lease was up 2/1. Thankfully our landlord let us extend two months, but we couldn't extend more since he had a new tenant. I can't tell you how stressed I was getting everything done. The City inspector was doing his final look while we were moving in. But I'm now prepared for when we do this for our other lot in a couple years. And it will be nice to not be paying money every month for a place to live.

Re: WWYCD 101:A question of faith Most of my chars would want to stop it without looking into the "big" picture. Scales would have to weigh in factors like how long would the team be able to stick around. He'd also have to figure out if it was truly necessary though if he's there with the usual team, they'd probably be able to figure it out. The problem is, even if we figure out that the sacrifices aren't needed, we'd have to convince the rest of the population. Might be possible over a course of a year, but if we're just passing through, coming back later may have to happen.

Re: Musings on Random Musings I think it was Smith & Barney that started sending my stuff to a place I never lived, my wife did briefly while she was going to school. I think it was a screwup with where I worked that started it. For the next seven years, I couldn't get them to fix it until I sold all the stock. Thankfully a good friend lived there so they could forward it to me.

Re: The cranky thread Cell phones didn't work at all at Best Friends when we first moved here. Now a couple carriers sorta work. Not sure if new towers got put in or something else.

Re: The cranky thread It's been a large change with me to. Three years ago I was unemployed, we were selling our house, and my wife had just been accepted for a try at working at Best Friends. The house sold between Apr 2 and Apr 3, Jenn did her two week trial, got hired, came back, we packed up, and moved May 1. She started work May 5, I started May 11. We moved across town into a rental house from the studio and next week we move into our own house. And I can finally get more stuff out of storage. I've had two cars die and we've bought three. Four cats have passed away, we got five more. My mom passed away last year. It's been a busy three years.
