  1. Re: The Last Word I swam last night. Decided to go down to the hotel pool. I still don't think my butterfly is all that good. But backstroke I go the length of the pool very quickly still.
  2. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread I think it's dependent on the person. I'm sure Josh & I have a difference in opinion on who the perfect wife is.
  3. Re: The Last Word I played softball a bit couple years back with work. I need way more practice. I had very uneven hitting and then tripping over the catcher and putting a crack in my arm didn't help things. Third "break" I've ever had and it always takes them a few days to have some observant enough to see the crack.
  4. Re: Musings on Random Musings I was this close to making an impulse run up to GenCon this year, but I'm needed for a work gig that weekend. Bah!
  5. Re: The cranky thread Yep. Though last time I did that I blew the scorpion also out the door, so I wasn't sure what effect I had on it until I found it again.
  6. Re: The cranky thread I don't think that was a dangerous spider, but surprise spiders freak me out as well. Here's one I found outside a door at work.
  7. Re: Order of the Stick "Important Sexy Context"
  8. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Yep. Bees are cool. I dealt mainly with underground nests of yellowjackets. Those you wait until darkness, then dig them up while pouring boiling water on them.
  9. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread I usually hear of the studies such as that resulting in nothing good, but they get highly touted as being good to the employer. Nice to hear, my cynical nature can be wrong.

  11. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread I'm pretty kind to animals. Take black widow spiders and rattlesnakes out into the country. Yellowjackets, I kill them. No mercy. Something about being stung by the horrible things hundreds of times in the past. Though I find I'm mostly immune to their stings. Got hit by one three years back in the face and last year in the arm. Slight bump that went away in a couple hours.
  12. Re: The Last Word Well, bummer. I have a lot of vacation time saved up, my wife doesn't. She said I should take some time off and I hadn't thought about it, but GenCon is this month. Unfortunately, the same weekend I need to be at a work event. So now I need to decide what to do with 60 hours of PTO...
  13. Re: How To Do This? Two seperate characters, just in the same body...
  14. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Looks like a topper to me, at least by going to target.com Sounds interesting though I'd have to find a Cal King version.
  15. Re: The Last Word I'm not too found of tedious boredom, but some relaxation would be nice.
  16. Re: Benjamin Stetser? wimmins gets many more results from google
  17. Re: Benjamin Stetser? Ok. You have to be way underground to totally avoid the internet. Though it is a interesting thread necromancy...
  18. Re: What Non-Fiction Book have you just finished? It was a draw in that Britain didn't want to come in a stomp the US at the time, since they were kind of busy elsewhere. I'm trying to think of which goals the US achieved from that. Perhaps less shanghai tactics on US ships? Other than that though, Canada was certainly a bust.
  19. Re: Musings on Random Musings He's got some pointy bits of wit. And gloves are always advisable when handling hazardous materials.
  20. Re: Musings on Random Musings Just make sure you don't cut yourself on a sharp piece.
  21. Re: Bold crooks... One of my coworkers told me how they used to get watermelons off the back of trucks going up hills in a similar fashion.
