Re: Soon I Will Be Invincible Another enjoyable book. Picked up Devil's Cape, Soon I will be Invincible, and Superpowers. Finished the first two very quickly. Both excellent. Will probably start Superpowers later this week.

Re: You Are President! Scales is a US Citizen and over a hundred. Yep, he's qualified. Fairly smart and knows some stuff about politics. Social Liberal, Fiscal Conservative and fairly assassination proof. Of course, with all the odd skeletons in his closet, the media would have a field day. I think he's the only one of my chars that actually qualifies. Everyone else is either too young or not from the US. Well, two of my chars are, but they wouldn't go for it.

Re: Logical Consequences vs. Conscientious Point Allocation Yep. Long ago, we had a couple GMs that would basically penalize you for having extra skills. We came up with "Roll until you fail" after one martial artist was forced to roll acrobatics to hop over a fence. Once for take-off, once for clearing the fence, and once on landing. If you paid points for something, you get an advantage most times, but you're never worse off than if you hadn't bought it. (Unless it's got massive side effects)

Re: Musings on Random Musings I once ran from one end of a building to the other and ripped a machine's connection out of the wall. Seems a sales weasel had disabled his anti-virus and then got hit with an virus that first mails itself off and then starts walking thru directories deleting them. Good thing it hit the local machine first before hitting the networked drives. I happened to have been in his email list. This was when I was working at McAfee. I got a reprimand for swearing.
