  1. Signed up for Genhis Con, now to figure out lodging.
  2. What if you have a collection of hearts?
  3. Yea, I really need to have my bag setup. Beating on something would be better than mentally beating on myself.
  4. St. George still has snow on the ground which is odd, but a second round of snow didn't happen today. Back home and bits of snow here and there with below freezing temps at night. Back to usual december it seems.
  5. Sams version of the Tiger Squad had these chars, of course it was a bit different of a focus in the 90s. The Winds of Change, sweeping through the world, awakening every member of the proletariat to the great message of international communism The Purifying Fire of communism, consuming the decadent regimes of the past and lighting the way towards a brighter future for all workers Neverending Progressive Movement towards the glorious goal of worldwide worker solidarity The Iron Resolve of the working class, united against western Imperialism The Great people of China, reaching the Peak of Human Achievement through correct application of Marxist principles Correct Thought, guided by the wisdom of Mao, free from the decadent weakness of the west Our group, while having to deal with China somewhat, mainly dealt with some of the super team threats that were trying to find softer targets than the US. There had also been a campaign in Europe.
  6. Sam ran a campaign based in the SE Asia area including Australia & New Zealand. Everyone had two characters, I had a Martial Brick from Thailand, and an Adventure Archeologist from New Zealand. He investigated old abandoned super bases and had collected quite a few items...
  7. If things to do tomorrow had "Give incredibably hard test to students on it", I think I may know some suspects.
  8. "WHY DON'T YOU TELL US ABOUT UPCOMING CHANGES!!!" How about reading any of the ways we keep people up to date? 1) Upcoming projects. 2) Test Server had the changes for the last week. 3) Forum announcements. We still don't have the ability to telepathically notify you.
  9. Bummer to hear that Old Man. Just found out I'm losing my part time gig at the end of january (with cut down hours until then). Not close to as serious though I've been pretty cranky about it this week.
  10. I just read about a thai salvage yard having cobalt-60 mixed into it's stuff and not being found until radioactive items made from the steel started turning up. Hmm, the thai item was back in 2000.
  11. Hope not. Though the 50 year threshold is approaching.
  12. Didn't wake up at 1-3am last night. Could be because I forced myself to stay up until 11 despite being exhausted, and still woke up at 5am.
  13. Stayed home, bunch of friends came over, standard turkey day food with some twists. (Zippy Carrots and Spicy Whipped Sweet Potatoes) Food and company were excellent. I didn't drink that much, just a buzz actually at most. However, I am now awake at 3am, but that's been typical the last few nights.
  14. So sorry you're going thru this Collie.
  15. I expect I will get tipsy tonight. I tend to drink more in social situations, though it doesn't matter what is in the glass assuming it's drinkable in the first place, so I've learned to alternate wine & non-alchohol. Plus with the amount of food, will slow it down anyway.
  16. Had a GM that would often have "Merry Marvel Mix-ups". Usually didn't lead too much to bruised egos. Though in a different campaign my reformed villain pushed a hero out of a heliocopter after he said no hard feelings from earlier hitting her with a car. (He could survive terminal falls fine...) Come to think of it, she got in several of those mixups. Once in a convention game she did knee a hero in the groin after he made a lot of improper suggestions. (lots of find weaknesses...)
  17. Reminds me of conversations about how to make a small fortune: Start with a large fortune and open a restaurant.
  18. Most likely. On your question about Swedish descended gunfighters, I'm having difficulty finding any, though I did find this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Chaparral_Theme_Park I would imagine so, since there were a number of Swedes that migrated. One of the odd statistics, possibly a myth, is that almost all gun fighters had blue eyes. Usually pale. So depends on how many blue eyed swedes migrated perhaps.
  19. Billy barely made it into his 20s, Doc made it to 46. Big Nose Kate on the other hand lived to 90.
  20. Didn't really get a chance to come down with it.
  21. Doing better. Still some issues, mainly back pain and some odd food issues. Possibly linked to the chemo. Many tests, not cancer, but not too helpful in pointing out what to do. She is now checking to see if a fentanyl patch will work where percoset did not. Percoset did for a bit, but she's very quick in becoming tolerant. Food issues are mainly naseua related, but she does have a swallowing problem in that stuff doesn't go all the way down unless she takes plenty of liquids. She had a test done that I got to watch where she had various barium laced food. Liquid, pudding, and cookies. And some naseau, but as long as she doesn't eat until she's full, she's OK. Though for awhile she really wasn't eating much and lost quite a bit of weight, she's stabilized on that front now. We did have a great time up in Seattle & Portland, and did eat some really good food.
