  1. Re: Musings on Random Musings Is that how Alice got hers?
  2. Re: Musings on Random Musings There are nonlethal traps put out by Victor and (I think) Havahart that work well. The little gray box ones that tip over and allow the door to shut. Peanut butter is the ultimate mouse bait.
  3. Re: A Game Of Questions Why, didn't he pay the cover charge?
  4. Re: A Thread for Random Musings The new laptop is really nice, but it's cost me three days moving from the old one and I'm still not done yet.
  5. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Nacho Cheese Doritos.
  6. Re: fantasy hero archtypes For Fantasy Hero I'd be inclined to skew the archetypes in favor of ones that can't be done well in other systems. Light fighter/martial artist, warrior mage, archer, assassin, various types of wizard. And then the brick tank fighter, which dominates all the rest.
  7. Re: The cranky thread MrWolf has the ick! We need to isolate him in his own tank! I wasted half an hour this morning dealing with... parking. Because we all know the world will end if someone parks in someone else's parking space.
  8. Re: The cranky thread Is this still the case? Do I have time to go get my list?
  9. Re: The cranky thread You can exploit this to your advantage. For example, at certain unnamed jewelry stores, if you yell and scream loudly enough, you can get your very expensive jewelry replaced for free even if you deliberately destroyed or even lost it. It might not come in its baby blue box with white ribbon, though.
  10. Re: The cranky thread I am standing in a tradeshow booth. Not even my company's booth. It's IBM's own display room, which due to its isolation gets even less traffic than the show floor on a day which happens to be election day. I am bored. This is a colossal waste of time.
  11. Re: Shay, Wood Elf Beastmaster Multipower with special effects. Could also consider +Skill Levels only vs Same Target as Pet.
  12. Re: Kill the Dude with the Thing Dude, he's smoking the Thing.
  13. Re: "Mystic Dart 'only vs living beings'." um...right. It ignores the armor you're wearing a blows you a new belly button.
  14. Re: The cranky thread How does that work? And what does it cost?
  15. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Baba O'Reilly, Teenage Wasteland, and Behind Blue Eyes.
  16. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread My three-year-old wanted to dress up as a Mini Cooper for Halloween, so I built him one. Out of cardboard. He helped me paint it, and only painted me a little bit. So it's blue. Then I got some stick-on LED closet lights and put them in as headlights. He loves it.
  17. Re: "Mystic Dart 'only vs living beings'." Must buy it with NND (Arcane Shield), Does BODY then.
  18. Re: Kill the Dude with the Thing You don't use the room of Dude, just the Thing.
  19. Re: "Mystic Dart 'only vs living beings'."
  20. Re: A Game Of Questions Can I pick both?
  21. Re: Kill the Dude with the Thing A real killer would have immediately asked about the little red button on the bottom of the gun.
  22. Re: The cranky thread Oh, and get better, willya? I hope it's not some kind of exotic bug.
  23. Re: The cranky thread So that really happens. What do you know. I knew another guy--a doctor, in fact--who went to the doctor complaining of occasional abdominal pain. It turned out to be pancreatic cancer and it killed him in less than 90 days. He deserved better, too.
  24. Re: The cranky thread A couple weeks ago my wife's best friend's aunt went to the doctor complaining about a light discharge. They took out her uterus, ovaries, colon, and some of her abs, and didn't get anywhere close to getting all the cancer out. Everything they've heard from the doctors so far sounds like code for "game over". The best friend is something of a wreck; she and the aunt were close.
