  1. Re: The cranky thread I am angry. Really, really angry. I want to kick someone in the face. I want tkdguy to kick someone in the face. Face kicks for everyone.
  2. Re: Dark Sun Defiling in Fantasy Hero Although I don't know if it'll be much help.
  3. Re: The cranky thread Seconded, if that keeps up for a while.
  4. Re: Name That Keep! Bar Keep? Inn Keep? Finders Keep? More seriously... Orc Ward Keep, Hillwatch, Vigilant Keep, Hillsguard... honestly I'm having a hard time beating Orcs' Head Keep. Especially if you decorate it with orc heads.
  5. Re: Kill the Dude with the Thing Wait! That Dude has no Thing! *snicker*
  6. Re: The cranky thread Sympathies also. FWIW I've had plantar fasciitis for over four years now, I kind of just live with it but it does suck the fun out of anything that involves standing or walking. So I can relate.
  7. Re: The cranky thread I entirely agree, it is just the making them stop part that can be surprisingly difficult.
  8. Re: The cranky thread Oddly I'm in the opposite situation; Mom goes nuclear if the boys put their shirts on backwards, or leave toys in the living room, or cry. The older one, who is also high-strung, is a bundle of nerves. The younger one seems to have figured out that all punishments are severe so he does whatever he wants. Kids get hurt. After the second kid, the pediatrician flat out told me to familiarize myself with local emergency rooms so that I'd know where to take the kids, park the car, and so on. The trick is to minimize the property damage and injury to others, I guess.
  9. Re: The cranky thread Not to defend them, but it can be strangely difficult to keep two kids from horsing around. In public, the parent is presented with the choice of letting the misbehaving children embarrass her, or embarrassing herself by yelling at or otherwise disciplining the children in public. Fortunately, I have no shame.
  10. Re: Quote of the Week From My Life. You would make a horrible Kurgan. Even with two heads to cut off.

Re: Steambirds It can't be that hard.
  12. Re: Musings on Random Musings Project Manager.
  13. Re: Musings on Random Musings If I had to guess, I'd say he meant the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Which Iran had signed IIRC. I'm half expecting bombs to fall on the reactor as soon as Ramadan ends.
  14. Re: A Game Of Questions You mean a Dyson Air Multiplier? Do you have one of those? How is it, was it worth the money?
  15. Re: Kill the Dude with the Thing But the Thing is heavy, and tends to clobber people he doesn't like.
  16. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Oh, no. I have Civ installed on my phone now. I'm doomed. And so is Napoleon.
  17. Re: Quote of the Week From My Life. So the current Happy Meal toys are Marvel Heroes figures that make sounds. This week, it's The Thing. Now my two year old stomps around the house shouting "IT'S COBBIN' TIME!!" I am so proud.
  18. Re: Musings on Random Musings Sparkly! Not sparkly. Sparkly! Not sparkly. Sparkly! Not sparkly. Sparkly! Not sparkly. Sparkly! Not sparkly...
  19. Re: The cranky thread "Sign this waiver or I'll break your @?$! face!!"
  20. Re: The cranky thread Well, that second one is definitely in "I want a unicorn" territory.
  21. Re: Musings on Random Musings They make sheep in spandex and polyester?
  22. Re: The cranky thread Oh, I must have left the black hole generator on in the basement. My bad.
  23. Re: Kill the Dude with the Thing Is the thing dead yet?
  24. Re: Quote of the Week From My Life. "Hey kid, do me a favor and turn off that light switch. NOT WITH THE HAMMER!!!!!"
