Re: Ctrl+V In an interesting departure from their usual news-only programming, CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News all collaborated to air an ongoing pulp serial which ran from 2000 to 2008, featuring a dastardly villain named Dick Cheney, loosely based on Gargamel from The Smurfs. Shades of 1984 and A Brave New World could be found in this colorful series about a hunch-backed old man who attempted to bring about a totalitarian dystopia, though the show lost some credibility after it had its main character “accidentally” shoot a man in the face and suffer zero legal consequences. Fortunately for fantasy fans everywhere, the news networks wised up and stopped airing this disturbing show in January of ‘09.

Re: I have a dream. (and MAN was it wierd!) IME if you can remember your dreams, it means you woke up too early. So I wouldn't worry about it. For a while I was remembering lots of dreams because the kids were guaranteed to wake up once or twice a night.

Re: many wolves > one chimaera O.o You should probably edit the naughty words out of your post. That's not unheard of. If you're playing with hit locations, and you score two or three hits to the head or vitals, that can end the fight pretty quickly. Fantasy Hero is kind of known for that. Also, Fantasy Hero combat tends to favor the side with the greater numbers. The outnumbered side usually has to fight defensively and that puts them at a disadvantage. It can be even worse if the outnumbering side uses appropriate tactics, such as grabbing a target to make it 1/2 DCV and then have several buddies attack, or outflanking to negate the DCV bonus of a shield.

Re: The cranky thread It's been an unusually cold, if not particularly wet, winter here as well. (Where "cold" means "less than 80º F".) I think it's been a strange year for weather all around. Does anyone remember if this is an El Niño year or not?
