I didn't. I only fell once, but managed to bounce the back of my skull off the ice hard enough to see stars. I was not unconscious, but definitely stunned. Ice is hard. Who knew?

I prefer the desolid solution, mainly because it still allows for limited interaction with the possessing critter. I feel like I often see possessing creatures driven out of the host by certain types of attacks or environments, magical or otherwise. So you could 'knock' the possessing creature out of the victim with an affects-desolid magical blast, or trap the host in an ultrasonic or other field that the creature is vulnerable to but not the host.

That's odd, the wiki entry says it's classified as an experimental ultralight. Anyway, Light Sport Aircraft require only a Sport pilot's license, which is drastically easier to get than a GA license. Like, 20 hours of training and a driver's license easy.

It's been a really long time since I read that book, so I can't tell whether this should be built as a limitation into the spell or as a defense that spellcasters have. I mean, that spell didn't target anyone directly, so why does the wizard get a pass? I'm leaning toward the latter interpretation, much as Lucius has built, but I don't think I'd build it as EDM or Desolid. I'd be more inclined to go with conditional defenses or some sort of perpetual Suppress.
