  1. Was it? He clearly only went along with the charade with an eye toward at least having a backup plan if not intending to double cross Malick all along. To me the real question is whether the POTUS was in on his plan or not. What I'm trying to figure out right now is Ward's deal. I know who he's supposed to be, but Mark Dacascos and the new Colombian dude with the shades don't seem like they're 100% on board. I'd have expected them to be a bit more fanatically devoted to the cause; instead it looks like fear is keeping them in line.
  2. Djinni-S is the mystical caretaker of the Ivory Tower, the Middle Eastern base of a group of magical and sorcerous superheroes. He has much to complain about--the remote desert location, the idiosyncracies of a bunch of borderline-crazy wizards, the tiny living quarters he's confined to, and the sand. But most of all he complains that he isn't respected enough to be allowed to come on adventures with the rest of the group.
  3. After a traumatic childhood in the roughest slums of Islamabad, Little Latifa didn't want to be little any more. Her overriding mantra was: Bigger. She borrowed her brother's weights. Bigger. She found her way into a decent gym. Bigger. She got hold of steroids and HGH. Bigger. She got noticed by a pharmaceutical company with many dollars and few ethics. Bigger. She willingly subjected herself to extremely experimental drug and gene splicing treatments. Bigger. Now Little Latifa is a nearly unrecognizable eight-foot-tall freak of science who is incomprehensibly strong and hard to injure. She is dependent on a regimen of rather illegal drugs, hormones, and stimulants to keep her that way, which makes it easy for unsavory elements to get her to do odd jobs. But she doesn't mind, as long as she's bigger than you.
  4. I already DVR Vikings. I hear great things about The Expanse but my TV time is extremely limited.
  5. The only sloppy thing about that was that they were able to recover his son at all, given that he had an off switch installed. I wonder if we'll see the general again, I imagine he's become a bit anti-Hydra by now.
  6. If only there were a superhero nearby to save them!
  7. Hey, I got selected to do Nielsen ratings for the first time in my life. Anyone have any shows I should put in a good word for?
  8. Oh Ja-wa-wa-wa-wa Fell up upon the grou-rou-rou-rou-round And he closed his eye-eye-eye-eye-eyes And he looked all arou-rou-rou-rou-round Come a rattle come a snee-way-wee And bit him on the hee-way-wee
  9. We know his weakness!
  10. Siberian tigers, by comparison, have a territory of about 144 square miles at most--a square 12 miles on a side. That's considered huge for a range for a single apex predator. For a Kalahari bushman, that's nothing. That's a three hour walk. Kalahari hunts can last for days.
  11. Why the hostility? Does someone have a widdle case of the Mondays?
  12. See that map in the lower right hand corner?
  13. That said, endurance is surely on the list of advantageous human traits. Humans aren't at the top of the list by any means--I'd give that title to birds that migrate thousands of miles over the ocean--but there aren't that many creatures than can locomote at cruise speed for hours on end, either.
  14. Isn't bulleting done with a word processor?
  15. It is in our case. Until I got here, correct math was, like, optional, man.
  16. What if it was more like... riddling?
  17. If it's not the Jokes thread, isn't it at least a Jokes thread?
  18. Mother Tell your children not to walk my way Tell your children not to hear my words What they mean What they say Mother
  19. Just out of curiosity, which ridiculously fragile POS software are you using? We're switching over from our... "handcrafted" POS this year, to a Microsoft one.
