    Touche! But of course Elon is trying to get Mars travel costs down by three orders of magnitude. Indeed, SpaceX's real achievement so far is drastically reduced orbital launch costs; he is totally eating ULA's lunch in that respect, unscheduled disassemblies notwithstanding.

    An interesting point has come up regarding the number of engines being used on this BFR--throttling. The requirement to be able to land the booster and Mars vehicle imposes a size limitation on the engines, because even throttlable rocket engines have a minimum thrust setting. Admittedly the booster configuration looks to be using only a small fraction of its engines for landing anyway, so in theory the others could be replaced by larger units. But having two different engine models on the booster would increase complexity and probably would not be cost effective.

    Archon was good, although I played a lot more Archon II. Either one beat the hell out of Battle Chess as a game, though the latter was admittedly entertaining. Today the tech has reached a point where I can't beat my phone at chess, which is just sad.

    I buy it pretty easily. In fact it makes perfect sense. Who really likes bringing up that kind of news with anyone? People avoid giving bad news all the time. If there was no immediate need to tell Tony about Hydra, it's easily the kind of thing that would get put off, especially if he's already struggling with a difficult breakup and the aftermath of Sokovia.

    My interpretation is that she threw him "up" and there happened to be a skyscraper there. I also don't think she had the explosion fully under control; it seems like the sort of thing she wouldn't have tried before.

    Speaking of noise, the sex tape controversy could work out in his favor by distracting from some of the othaer revelations last week. There's plenty of evidence now that the Trump Foundation was routinely used as a tax-evading slush fund for Donald's personal expenses and legal settlements.

    To be fair, what kind of government have millennials ever known? At any rate, I'm just not seeing the issues here. SW had to act reflexively to save Cap, and it didn't work out. Bucky effectively has brain damage and seems to live his life on the run. Admittedly my expectations for any Hollywood superhero film may still be set rather low, but I really thought CW was very tightly written for an action movie. Ymmv.

    I'd much rather get one of these than a bullpup pump action. The latter have resulted in some negative consequences for shooters who fumble the pump action and wind up obstructing the muzzle with their off hand at an inopportune moment.

    The dragon combats I remember fall into two categories: 1) The PCs flee immediately. 2) The PCs wade in and bring the dragon down on phase 12. (Seriously, this happened twice--one in a fairly advanced campaign with a lucky stunning hit, and once in a campaign that started out with versions of the players as PCs... one of the PCs still had a few rounds left in his 9mm handgun, and the GM foolishly allowed it to count as AP against the poor lizard.) Anyway, I feel that I don't have a great sample size of data to draw conclusions from.
