  1. Both multipowers and VPPs run the risk of allowing too much versatility, especially if the campaign is largely inhabited by mundanes. I've run FH mages with multipowers before, and it's trivially easy to get the cost of a slot down to 1 or 2 points, giving the caster close to 20 slots and thereby access to half the powers in the list. VPPs, of course, give the caster access to the entire powers list, in theory. What you're going to have to do is radically limit the versatility, as you have already guessed. Fixing the spells for 24 hours at a time is one way to do that. At minimum I'd require a caster to have to spend at least half an hour to make a change to the pool--anything less than that and casters become unstoppable swiss army knives for noncombat situations.
  2. "Remember, Sully, when I promised to kill you last?" "That's right Matrix, you did!" "I lied."
  3. Because those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it, perhaps?
  4. Sorry, DT. Caring for elderly loved ones never doesn't suck. Also, when I first read your post I somehow skipped over the first sentence and it reads a lot differently when you do that.
  5. How about Imperial moshing, or even the Imperial Wall of Death?
  6. Yes--a reboot that's grimmer and grittier, with unwinnable battles and muted colors and gratuitous nudity! (j/k.)
  7. Maybe increase the limitation to -3/4 or even -1 if the character isn't a ripped specimen of physical beauty, but instead is lumpy and warty with tufts of hair sticking out from odd places.
  8. Pretty straightforward force field, I'd guess, with a continuing charge lasting a day. OAF, incantations, gestures, RSR, 5 turns to cast. I'd give Must Be Mostly Naked about a -1/2.
  9. Mountain Man is huge, hairy, and closely attuned to nature. He can read the wind, speak with the trees, and direct the efforts of wild animals. Ordinarily something of a hermit, he will emerge from the wilderness where the wilderness perceives a great injustice.
  10. "It's a hell of a thing, killin' a man. You take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have." "Yeah. Well, I guess they had it comin'." "We all have it comin', kid."
  11. "Are you gonna pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?"
  12. "Well, he shoulda armed himself if he's gonna decorate his saloon with my friend."
  13. "Any trouble, boy?" "No old man. Thought I was having trouble with my adding. It's all right now."
  14. They've got you wrong. You're not a coward. Stupid, maybe. But not a coward.
  15. "She won't answer the helm! We're locked into the moon's gravitational pull. What do we do?" "We die."
  16. I literally cannot remember which Highlander movies I've seen aside from the first one. (Which was also, objectively, a terrible film, just not as terrible as its sequels.)
  17. Am I the only one who actively avoids trailers for films I know I'm going to see anyway?
