2. Re: Cosmic Centurions The newest of the Cosmic Centurions (and my first actual CC pic), the Diamond Centurion: If her outfit looks a bit different, it's because I wasn't able to check out the CC art page to have reference material at hand when I did it; it wasn't until after the pic was done that I finally managed to get onto the CC art page. As to the idea behind her, she was an inhabitant of the same world that the Crystal Centurion came from, and was a skilled doctor as well. Whenever there was a disaster -- either on her world or on another -- she was part of any relief effort that was mounted, and it was during one such incident that she came to the attention of the Cosmic Centurions. When several people were injured and trapped in a chemical explosion at a factory, the future Diamond Centurion went into the danger zone several times to rescue them, not stopping until all of them were out of danger, risking death herself in the process. Several Cosmic Centurions that were involved with the relief effort arrived at the scene in time to witness her actions, and were impressed with her bravery and compassion for others. Her willingness to risk her life for others convinced them that she would be a worthy addition to their ranks; once the emegency was dealt with and things settled down, the Cosmic Centurions approached her with the invitation to join them. Hesitant at first, she accepted only after being convinced that she would be able to do even greater good for the inno- cent peoples of the galaxy as a Cosmic Centurion, than as just simply a doctor. Because one of her people who was a Cosmic Centurion was already known as the Crystal Centurion, she couldn't call herself that; fortunately, the daughter of the Silver Centurion -- who had taken up her father's mantle to become a Cosmic Centurion herself, under the name of the Chrome Centurion -- suggest- ed that she call herself the Diamond Centurion. D'mandi -- the real name of the doctor -- liked the idea, and so it was that the Diamond Centurion was born. The pic shows her with the gear that she uses on the job: a medkit on the right side of her belt, and an advanced medical scanner on the left. Normally, she uses her medical training to help injured people she comes across in the course of her duties; only if a patient's injuries are immediately life-threatening will she use her Source-derived powers to heal them or, if proper medical care is nearby, stabil- ize their condition until they can be gotten to a hospital. 11. Re: A DC Animated-style heroMachine Not exactly; what I did was to use the solid circle from the Simbolo menu, and shrunk it down to a smaller size with the minus button, then moved it so it was in Fester's mouth. Then I went to the Poder (I think that means Power; I'm not sure) menu and clicked on it until I got to one of the "aura circles" surrounding the hand on the pic. I shrunk that down some as well before moving it so that was surrounding the "light- bulb", then used the third selection of the Palette menu (this is the one that turns black lines into whatever color you want; where the power effects are concerned, it has to be one that looks like a hazy black outline, not a solid one) to make it look like it was lit up. 14. Re: A DC Animated-style heroMachine SSgt.Baloo: It isn't that I forgot to do the old lady's pic for the Addams Family pics; it's just that right now there's some kind of glitch in the selection menus for the female body template that's causing the torso selection to not work right. The only way that I've been able to use F2010 to do any female pics is to use a Camisa option to substitute for the torso; this means that I'm not able to make female characters to go with certain groups of pics that I've made (but haven't posted yet). Now, if there were six options available instead of the four per selection, it'd be a different story. Major Tom 2009
15. Re: dmjalunds Fabrica characters statted out OK, I just tried the link, but my computer doesn't have the necessary program to open .hdc files. Is there any chance of the backgrounds for any of your post- ed characters being made into .pdf format? Major Tom 2009
16. Re: A DC Animated-style heroMachine Here's a teen superheroine for either Champions or Teen Champions; she could also be used in a Pulp Hero campaign as a mystic martial artist. The idea behind her is that she is a Chinese-American whose family has, for generations, been the custodian of a pair of jade-green wristbands -- wristbands that have the power to enhance and increase the martial-arts prowess of whoever wears them. Once in every generation since coming into possession of the wristbands, a member of her family has donned them, using his increased skills in the name of justice -- and always using the secret identity of the Jade Tiger. Until she came to be the most recent possessor of the wristbands, no female member of the family had ever worn them. It was only when her older brother (the Jade Tiger before her) was killed by members of an evil cult, that she donned the wristbands herself to carry on his work. While her considerable skills in Tiger-style Kung Fu were indeed augmented by the wristbands' enchantment, they were never intended to be worn by a woman. As a result, whenever she uses them, her body -- eyes, hair, and skin -- turn green (but only as long as they're worn; her color returns to normal once she takes them off). This has actually helped to hide her true identity, as she battles evildoers as the Jade Tigress. Major Tom 2009
17. Re: dmjalunds Fabrica characters statted out Circa what? When you say the hdc, are you talking about the character sheet thumbnail at the bottom of the post? Major Tom 2009
18. Re: A DC Animated-style heroMachine Thanks. It can be a real pain in the behind to get certain characters to look as close to the originals as possible where F2010 or its earlier version is concerned (the 2011 version has got to be the most useless piece of crap where character creators are concerned; the bloody thing won't work when I try to use it). When I was doing the pic for Gomez, I was trying for the John Astin look, not the Raoul Julia look. Now if there was only a way to do Cousin It or Thing... Major Tom 2009
