Hermit
They're not progressing the time line as much as I thought they would. Huh.
gewing
I was kind of hoping it would turn out that Tony's the heir of a super, probably villain... chaos ensues Not that they couldn't throw that in there...
Pariah
If this is a traditional Pixar trailer, absolutely nothing of what you've just seen will actually be in the movie. Not that I'm complaining. It's good to see the family back in action.
gewing
This is actually the movie I have most been anticipating for many years.
pinecone
I'm hoping for a giant radio active Jackalope for the big "boss battle".

Bazza
This teaser does nothing to get me excited for the film. I'll wait for an actual trailer.
Starlord
Clearly Jack-Jack has a strange VPP.

zslane
I kind of get the feeling that Jack Jack is meant to be an analog of Franklin Richards, which means he can probably do anything.
wcw43921
I think the producers have said something to that effect--that babies represent unlimited potential, that they can become almost anything. Does make me wonder what Dash and Violet were like as babies--were their powers already defined, or did they havie unlimited potential like Jack-Jack? zslane
I imagine that only Jack Jack is being used to deliver that metaphor. It isn't encoded as a universal (or even family-wide) axiom.
Pariah
Yes, there are different metaphors for Violet (Teenager: insecurity, desire to go unnoticed) and Dash (Preadolescent: mischievous, boundless enthusiasm). Just as there are metaphors for Robert (Dad: strong and resilient) and Helen (Mom: smart and flexible).

Michael Hopcroft
Brad Bird has staked a claim to being America's greatest living animator on just three features (The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, and Ratatouille). This has a chance of being a really good movie. That said, Bird's live-action work's reputation has me a bit concerned. Reviews and commentary scared me off Tomorrowland and its shoutouts to Ayn Rand.
