As much as I liked RotLA for melting Nazis, it spawned a totally idiotic sequel and I never really liked the others, although the last crusade was decent. The superman movie had some awful sequels but none as offensively bad as temple of doom. Also it tried to modernize superman a bit with things like no phone booths anymore. It didn't work for me as much as Terminator did.
