Historical analogy: After he retired Stan Musial was hired as a batting coach, but he did it all so naturally that he was more or less incapable of training anyone how to hit. If memory serves Musial had a rather unorthodox batting stance. That was really only something he could do with consistently to begin with, so it would be doubly hard. Peyton was most successful when he got to the line of scrimmage, read the defense, and changed the play call. Hard to do that from the booth. Pariah
Oddly enough, the only color on color game yesterday--Chargers at Cowboys--looked really, really good. I wish the Chargers would just ditch the navy jerseys and go powder blue full time.
Pariah
...and the Donkeys have their first seven-game losing streak in half a century. Paxton Lynch clearly wasn't ready to come back. Trevor Siemian looked like an actual NFL quarterback out there in the 4th quarter, though. Odd. My guess is that Denver has three new quarterbacks in training camp come next summer.

Cancer
Quote Just 6 Seahawks penalties for 35 yards today. Amazing how much easier it is to watch this team when you’re not cringing in expectation of a flag after every play. No obvious injuries accumulated, either. OTOH, it's now death march time, with Philly, Jacksonville, the Rams, and Cowboys-with-Ezekiel-Elliott-back in the next few weeks.

Cancer
Two major pieces of Seattle's defense, Cliff Avril and Kam Chancellor, are confirmed out for the rest of the year. There is a significant chance Chancellor may not play again, period.
Pariah
Aqib Talib may be a shutdown corner, but that doesn't help the team if he's not playing. He just got himself suspended for two games because he couldn't keep his hands off Michael Crabtree's chain. I wonder who he'll be playing for next season. Pariah
At least start Eli to keep his 200+ game streak alive. Pull him after a series, maybe, but not play him at all?
