Zeropoint
After many years of using the Lego G-Man as my avatar, I have decided to switch it up. I wanted something that would express my opposition to Nazis, and . . . well, "America" just doesn't convey that message any more. Forward unto victory, comrades. Lord Liaden
At least my avatar is completely unambiguous as to what he stands for. Zerstoiten uber alles! TrickstaPriest

Twilight
Since everybody is changing their avatars, I figure I would too. For some reason discussion to Trump brought to mind FFVI and a battle against an evil empire, so I chose Gau since he's my favorite character from that game. Zeropoint
For some reason discussion to Trump brought to mind FFVI It's a rather obvious joke, but: One is about a bunch of people opposing an evil and insane clown after something terrible happens to their homeland. The other is a video game. TrickstaPriest, Twilight, Lord Liaden and 1 other
Pariah
From the Internet: "This country's education system is broken beyond repair. It's time to burn it to the ground and build from scratch." My thought: Confirming Elisabeth DeVos as Secretary of Education will certainly accomplish one of those two things. Lord Liaden
I never understood people voting for Donald Trump because they feared Hillary Clinton was in the pocket of big business. Donald Trump is one of the pockets. Where do people think his money comes from? All they did by choosing Trump was cut out the middleman. The only thing Donald Trump has shown real skill at is selling. He won the election because he sold the American people a bill of goods. That was the easy part for him. Delivering is going to be much, much harder.

Delivering is going to be much, much harder. I'm not sure Trump actually delivered anything, ever, in his entire career. He created a small fortune by starting out with a large fortune (of other people's money). Although I guess he owns a fifth of Rosneft now so that's something. death tribble
The latest gripe from this side of the Atlantic is about the Speaker saying that Trump will not be allowed to address the House of Parliament. Addressing the Houses of Parliament is not an automatic right for anyone and so denying Trump is not that big a deal. Despite what some might say. And if Parliament had simply never issued an invitation to President Trump, it likely would never have come up. But the Speaker made a show of essentially saying the sitting American President would not be welcome in the House. That is a very pointed political statement from a high-profile public figure. It's justifiably going to draw attention.
