Pattern Ghost
I guess that when it comes to Greek gods, tutoring is all one needs to become completely battle-worthy. Feh. I'd suppose the tutoring would be more cracking heads and less cracking books...
zslane
Once a year the Amazons pull green and purple scarves out of a drum to choose up sides and go to war. Once a year? Instead of once every five years? I guess they really are bored on that island...

Greywind
Once a year? Instead of once every five years? I guess they really are bored on that island... The Amazons are faster than the Drazi. And they never said how long a Drazi year was.
Lord Liaden
I guess that when it comes to Greek gods, tutoring is all one needs to become completely battle-worthy. Feh. Perhaps you would have preferred the word, "trainers?" Training is all real-world soldiers get before we send them into battle for the first time. But if the training is first-rate, so is the soldier.
bigdamnhero
And they never said how long a Drazi year was. Actually yes they did: one Drazi "Cycle" is 1.2 Earth years. (I think on the show they just said something like "roughly one Earth year.")
NuSoardGraphite
Actually, I think the Fallen killed him. He just sent his power to Diana. They were going to kill him to gain his power. She did it to prevent that and got his "quickening" so to speak.

Just as wars do not make one great, (great) training does not make one a (great) warrior. But I guess we should expect that a well-trained but untested Olympian demi-goddess is going to be more effective than an experienced platoon of Kaiserheer stormtroopers. Netzilla
We are talking comic books (or comic book logic, anyway). In both comics and Hollywood, the training montage is more than enough to turn almost anyone into a world-class warrior (let alone ageless demi-goddesses with physical prowess beyond normal mortals). Not realistic, but a long-accepted trope of the genre.
BoloOfEarth
Maybe she time-travels back from the future after getting true combat experience? (Because I know zslane would like a good time-travel hook in this story.)

Lord Liaden
You all talk like experience is the only factor contributing to someone becoming great at anything. Natural physical talent, intelligence, determination and courage are important qualities in a great fighter, and Diana has those in abundance. Starlord
I'm sure she's been engaging in mock battles and sparring for thousands of years. Bruce Wayne transformed from a brutish thug to an invincible warrior after a little ninja training. No one complained.

zslane
You all talk like experience is the only factor contributing to someone becoming great at anything. Actually, I only argue that experience is more important/valuable/decisive than training when it comes to combat (the kind where lives are on the line, not trophies). I would never claim that experience is the only contributing factor to becoming great at anything (or everything, as is implied). What a strange extrapolation to make... Pattern Ghost
I think a site that reports in November on a trailer released in July shouldn't be named The Daily DIsh. That said, I hadn't seen those posters before. They look great.
bigdamnhero
Trying hard not to get my hopes up too high, based how awful the last few DC/WB movies have been. But the new trailer looks reeeealy good...

Pattern Ghost
This is a new trailer, not the July one I believe. Did they have one embedded in the page? It's possible I didn't allow enough scripts through to show it. The first bit of the article had a link to another article from July with the Comicon trailer in it. Edit: Found it! I didn't see the vidible.tv script. It's a trailer we've seen before, but it's at least the latest one.
