Pattern Ghost
Hard to tell what's going on in that scene. Apparently, Max Lord is granting wishes through some artifact, so the scene could be pretty much anything, maybe Wonder Woman trying to escape a magical trap or illusion. zslane
It is interesting that they are choosing not to show us Cheetah. It's not exactly filling me with confidence in the casting of Kristen Wiig. Matt the Bruins
slikmar
I would love to see them introduce Cheetah as normal for most the movie and set her up as the villain in the third movie after showing her friendship with Diana. I suspect we will get half a movie of friendship and they will use the artifact that Max is using to transform her.
Greywind
Diana's eagle armor puts me more in mind of Silver Swan.
Lord Liaden
In case someone didn't know, it's a shout-out to Diana's battle armor from the graphic novel, Kingdom Come. death tribble
Cassandra
Wonder Woman 1984 trailer looks good but if it does involve a magic monkey paw I'm out.
Greywind
Magic monkey by the name of Max Lord.
pinecone
Well, DC has always been more likely to drop the magic card...Shazam, Doc Fate etc...maybe it is a plot by a Lord of Chaos to undermine reality or the like. That way Max is a "cat's paw" rather than a monkey's?
Grailknight
They could fuse Max Lord with the White Magician, but i hope not. Max deserves a full treatment whereas the White Magician was another forgettable WW villain.(although one done as a big part of the Perez Reboot)
Matt the Bruins
Something about the Max Lord stuff is giving me Morgan Edge vibes instead. Could they have patched together the former character with the latter's role?
Grailknight
He look more like the White Magician which would tie-in to the Perez run Cheetah origin.

IMDB has him as Max Lord. They could be fusing the two characters in some way, or it's possible the McGuffin Lord is using to grant wishes was provided by the White Magician, who could be used in a later movie. I say that because of the shots of him in all white suits. Not a Max Lord thing but a trademark of the White Magician so I do think they fused the two. The wish granting is also a White Magician thing.

slikmar
Could be they are trying to piggy back on the name recognition, as Max Lord appeared in Supergirl last season, so they figure people know the name. So maybe Max Lord in name only.
Hermit
None of this is new... Wonder Woman and mythical /magical stuff? That's the Peanut butter to her jelly. Max Lord being revamped? Man, the comics did that when they turned him from a kind of lovable flim flam artist who reformed to be a better man, to the guy who hated heroes all along and shot Ted Kord... (STILL ticked about that) Magical powers source for a guy who wasn't connected to it? See Sivana in the Shazam movie, from super scientist to occult chaser (Still a darn good movie) So I'm not really upset if they are using a magic gemgaw for Lord

But I guess what I'm saying is shifts in methods, background, and personality (Which can be good or terribly bad) aren't atypical for the material. Heck, Mr. Freeze got the best backstory of his career imo from the Animated series.

The reboot didn't impress me, and since I didn't like it, I didn't see the movie. Johns, and Goyer, have a way of making magical monsters scientific that just grates on my nerves, and I have seen fan fiction/hobby/unpublished writers do better work. Scott Ruggels
Looking forward to the Next WW movie. I think DC movies finally have worked themselves out from under their curse, finally. Also New Order's Blue Monday, for the Win!

A good chopice, but I have a mix of old 80' s dance tunes I call "Music by Work by" with things like Obsession by Clan of Xymox, Alphaville's "Dance with Me", plus some new stuff like Dolya Riska, byt the cheese people, and Dog blood, by Chella Ride (which is the soundtrack to a martial arts fight scene in a movie playing in my head). But my love for the 80's is eternal.
