Clonus
A Booster Gold movie that plays up a jackwagon trying to get rich and famous and learning a powerful lesson about heroism would be terrific stuff. I don't trust the grimdark misery fest of DC writers and producers to pull it off, though. He'd end up a goth trying to commit suicide with Skeets or something. Uh-hunh. A company that can't leave the skies blue in a Superman movie can't handle Booster Gold. Christopher R Taylor
Lord Liaden
So shoot it in rural Taiwan instead. As far as China is concerned, Taiwan is China.
Lord Mhoram
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 apparently features a Simon Williams film festival, among other things. Wonder Man is played by none other than Nathan Fillion. Win! Yeah - I thought that brilliant casting.
megaplayboy
As far as China is concerned, Taiwan is China. That's why the movie should refer to it as the "Independent Nation of Taiwan".

Bazza
it's happening! It happened. Going to create a new thread to discuss the film.
Bazza
I'm willing to answer any Civil War questions in a non-spoilery way (well try too). Think of it more like expectations -- what you can expect from the film. So if you have any, fire away.
Starlord
Does Cap's Marty Stu-ness ruin the film simply because he is a Marty-Stu? Do they spend at least 43 minutes properly explaining exactly how Thor's hammer works so the cinematic universe will make sense? Does the black dude playing Black Panther look properly African? Is Baron Zemo an Asian who doesn't know martial arts? Do all the characters have the correct height, weight, and breast size as they do in the comics? If the answers are yes, then I will go I guess...but knowing Marvel they'll just give us another great story with fantastic action...bummer. massey and Lawnmower Boy

Christopher R Taylor
Yeah, a movie could be made about Spider-Man using a sloth in a bright green costume set on the moon and someone on the internet would defend it, mocking anyone who found fault as a purist. Christopher R Taylor
Yeah lousy story is lousy, no matter how its presented. It should get good reviews at first at least no matter how good because it will look and sound really cool. Then if its no good, people will later on go "you know, that was really kinda crappy." Seems like that happens a lot lately. I'm hoping its a suprise and well done.

I think the reviews were actually too harsh on it.
Christopher R Taylor
It got some good reviews at first, too. Then word of mouth started to get around about misery fest, murdering Batman, lousy Luthor, etc. Now a 3-hour R rated version release is being planned. Because Superman needs naked breasts and profanity.
