zslane
Yeah, a 4DC physical Blast slot would model the throw-hit-return stunt easily enough. The standard rules for throwing things pretty much covers situations where Cap doesn't need or want it to return, like to jam open a closing door, etc. In such cases, the shield is just an object he's throwing, not a power he's activating. Christopher R Taylor
Cap's shield I built with an indirect blast, to represent the (bounce it 14 times around corners and hit the guy in the back of the head" move. I agree, there's no need to give him special powers for every use although I do like the shield as landing platform, he does that pretty often. I even saw him skate across a spiked pit with it. I debated adding an Indirect EB slot to my build but decided against it as that trick seems more of an ability of Cap's than of the Shield itself (ie: Cap can do that with virtually ANY shield that's the right shape so I would give him CSL's used for Bouncing an Attack). Ninja-Bear
Multiform again? I'm okay just as long as you don't have a problem with the Hammer. Could you buy Thor's abilities OIHID and for the medical skills and any other skills only Donald Blake would have, have a phy lim. Certain skills can't be accessed by Thor. Multiform might be easier though. : )
Christopher R Taylor
I treat effects like Mjolnir as OIF, the hammer comes back to him on its own and is very hard to keep away. Its probably pushing the definition of inaccessible a bit, but it works.
mattingly
Yeah, Blake and Thor classic build were different people entirely. 8d6 seems really low though. Catastrophically low, in fact. Giving the hammer throw and the lightning bolt each their own slot would let them go to 10d6. I could also see adding a couple dice HA. OIHID could go onto many of his stats to free up some points. I don't remember the hammer giving him a mental entangle, though. What's that?

zslane
That's him putting the Hammer on some one. They can't move until he lifts it off them. Ok, but why is that a mental attack and not, say, Indirect TK?
Hyper-Man
Ok, but why is that a mental attack and not, say, Indirect TK? I think the whole point of only being able to lift the hammer if worthy means it doesn't matter how strong someone is. Hulk and Thanos have been shown to be unable to lift it. Creating the effect via traditional means like TK just doesn't fit. It is a pretty frickin powerfull ability but considering that its use locks out Thor from doing anything else with the hammer evens it out somewhat. Being a nearly unique item (see Beta Ray Bill) you could arguably just build the effect as a tightly limited EDM UAA ability.
