A Rocketeer rip off to be sure but still a good read. I know its not a movie but its all i can think of.

tikiman
Only movies? How about TV shows like Tales of the Gold Monkey? For movies, did anyone mention all those Buster Crabbe Flash Gordon serials? And the original Star Wars? Burrito Boy
tikiman
The old Adventures of Tin-Tin cartoon series. Sin City Isn't Sin City an attempt at noir, not pulp?

Sundog
Noir derived in many ways from the pulps. I like to think of noir as the darker side of the pulps gone cinema. Burrito Boy

death tribble
It occurs to me that the Fu Manchu films particularly with Christopher Lee are good ones. He plans on using a poison from seeds of the black hill poppy in one that can wipe out all life provided the temperature is below freezing and in another uses a transmitter to broadcast energy to destroy targets while kidnapping the daughters of scientists who he then blackmails into helping him set up the energy projector/transmitter. Lee's Fu Manchu never has a problem with his daughter Lin Tang played by Tsai Chin. She is always wearing normal clothes and nothing scanty while Fu Manchu is always wearing robes and just speaks elegance.
LouGoncey
This is an out-of-left field suggestion, but the guys who wrote THE ROCKETEER made a low-budget film called ZONE TROOPERS. It is a WW2 story where the GIs run into an alien and help him escape from the Nazis. Good fun. GhostDancer and Burrito Boy

LouGoncey
Just to let you know, ZONE TROOPERS was a low budget film made in 1985 ( I believe ). But the script and direction make it look like a 40s-50s movie -- it is one of my all time favorite B movies. zslane
Second Hand Lions is full of pulpy adventure in its flashback sequences. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen The RDJ Sherlock Holmes films maybe? Captain America: The First Avenger Spectre (1977 tv movie)...very pulpy even though it doesn't take place in the pulp era Christopher R Taylor, Cancer and Lucius

Trancers (1985) made by the same company, and with some of the same stars, has a Pulp feel especially in the beginning despite being a Time Travel movie.
