Badger
Heh, I actually did really good in art history class in college. Actually one of the more interesting classes I had in college. But, let's just say I liked it more for the history part. I appreciate pre-1700* art much more than what came later. By 20th century, well I don't do Picasso, to put it simply. *well maybe on up till early 19th century. Loved the classical stuff in antiquity, Renaissance and Baroque periods. Old Man
Sometimes art is enhanced by its backstory. Sometimes it’s mostly art. Sometimes it’s mostly backstory. Sometimes it’s nothing but an example of conspicuous consumption. pinecone and Sociotard

wcw43921
Fireworks don't count as art? Because that involves blowing stuff up, and just about every fireworks display I've seen was thoroughly artistic. Lucius and pinecone
Lucius
I didn't think it would be controversial to suggest that art should not entail explosions, but saying so seems to have blown up in my face.... Badger
I'll give you fertile, but I don't like sunny* (burns my eyes) and warm just means humid summers. Badger
Yeah, speaking from north of NC, not only did we get the heavy rain from a former hurricane a few weeks ago, but seems it rains 4-5 days a week since May (except for like an 8 day drought in about mid-August)

Grailknight
Yeah, this could do a lot of bad things to the Florida Panhandle and SE Alabama. North and South Carolina are also going to be hit with more rain in areas that may not be fully drained from Florence. I'm not seeing a big increase in traffic on I10 as I expected for an evacuation. Thankfully this one has missed us here. It not even raining and the sun is peeking out of the overcast.
