Sociotard
EPA head Scott Pruitt says he has to fly first class because the people in Coach are mean to him. (okay, he really said it was a security concern, but phrasing it that way was funnier.) Bibi Netanyahu might get indicted The Baltimore Police are in trouble for their cops turning into robbers. A Maryland delegate even suggested disbanding the police. The whole Syrian Kurd issue is turning our diplomatic situation into a cross between 3 dimensional chess and Jenga. This was certainly an eventful week.

You know, people dying and stuff. The FBI collects statistics. There is nothing in US law preventing the gathering of statistics. The law prevents government funding of studies. The fact that the anti-gun lobby puts out disinformation like this is the reason the law exists. Stuff like this doesn't help their cause is my point. 4 hours ago, Christopher said: Also they did clearly mention their Definiton in the Article. You were informed by the 3rd Sentence/2nd Pargraph. Any gun discharging in any school for any reason is a loose definition of a school shooting. That's going to give misleading numbers when the numbers are cited. 4 hours ago, Christopher said: Doign stuff like that is strongly supporting credibility in my book. You don't value honesty? Aren't honest, unpadded numbers good enough? IMO, they're pushing their agenda dishonestly. And they have no reason to. They can make their case without lying, but they chose to lie. His book went on to become Homicide:Life on the Streets and The Wire. He pinpointed one of the problems with the police department which was the police were not allowed to become proficient being moved about every three years and that was one of the reasons for the increase in the murder rate
Cancer
Shifting police around, though, is one of few tools one has for combating police corruption, e.g., the beat cops getting bought and turning into de facto thugs for neighborhood (and city) bosses; it is also a mechanism which makes it easier to insert "specials", Internal Affairs officers and undercover feds, as well. Corruption was a serious problem back in the late 19th Century, and it is by no means dead.
