I recently had a situation where a character planned to attack a stunned target (Brick), the player stated that attacking a stunned target caused Stun that was dealt to be doubled.
It sounded correct at the time logically, however the discussion continued only because we then considered the ramifications of this rule further.
Do we double the damage before defenses/ after defense or just increase the Damage multiplier by 1 (The attack was a killing attack)?
We ended up not dealing extra damage as no one could reach a consensus as which way to apply it as the players realized how badly it could affect them.
Was the player recalling a seriously outdated rule? If so what was it from as well how would you based on the rule have dealt with it?
We typically play 5th and mix-match rules to suit campaign
