Christopher
Re: Needing a Name for a Density Increase Super Heroine Just for the curious, platinum, gold, and mercury are all more dense than lead. There may be others; those are just the ones I happen to know off the top of my head. Okay, as you were. Wikipedia specifically said "densest natural element", so I thought that some others (of equal or even more density) are excluded. Here is a more compelte list, but the sorting isn't workign very well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Density#Densities_of_various_materials Top on the list are "White Dwarfs". Christopher
Re: Needing a Name for a Density Increase Super Heroine Found even a better list. less entries, but this times sorted: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orders_of_magnitude_%28density%29 Taken from the lower list (in order of density): Silver (latin: Argentum) Lead (Plumbum) Mercury (quicksilver; hydrargyrum [silver water]) Uranium Tungsten (wolfram) Gold (Aurum) Platinum Iridium Osmium After that it goes stellar... And given the black outfit, how about "Black Opal"? Or if you want something stronger, how about "Onyx"? The latter doesn't sound as feminine. assault
Re: Needing a Name for a Density Increase Super Heroine Black Opal is good. I've used it for a Green Lantern-type character in the past, but it would also work in this case. I'm surprised more people haven't followed the Diamond theme. Black Diamond is a density based character in the official CU, though. (She's published in 5e CKC). That doesn't mean that the theme is mined out though - you can still create other "Diamond" characters, and if they ever meet they can become rivals. Opale
Re: Needing a Name for a Density Increase Super Heroine Thank you all for so much good ideas Onyx name is already taken, for another player character. I tend myself to lead for the more feminine names, but I'm biased. *winks* And awwwh, thanks for the Black Opal suggestion Impervious sub-atomic Opale
