death tribble
I have never watched E.T. and have no urge to do so. I read the first two Shanarra books and have no urge to read another. I read Wizard's First Rule and stopped there.
Cassandra
I thought the Lathe of Heaven was introduced on Home Improvement by Pamela Anderson. Pariah
Cassandra
I never got over the fact that Kate Mulgrew played Mrs. Columbo to take Star Trek: Voyager seriously.
DasBroot
I felt the same way at first about Sheridan from Babylon 5 being from Scarecrow and Mrs King - glad I got over it though. Cassandra

Pariah
I like Blade Runner better with the voice-over. Gives it a sort of film noir feel.

Yes, he did prove worth. Of course, he was "The One".
Bazza
Blade Runner or watching grass grow or paint dry. That is how enthused I was with it.
wcw43921
I felt the same way at first about Sheridan from Babylon 5 being from Scarecrow and Mrs King - glad I got over it though. Yes, he did prove worth. Of course, he was "The One". I always thought he was The King. (And no, I'm not talking about Kirby.) I swear, if Gene Roddenberry was supposed to be a closet socialist, then J. Michael Stracyznski has to be a closet monarchist. Between the last season of Babylon 5 and the Rising Stars comic series, it seemed like he had little--if any--faith in government of the people. And while that lack of faith may seem justified these days, being ruled by a tyrant, benevolent or otherwise, is hardly an improvement. Badger
Posting a vi regex substitution string surely negates any other post you've made in this thread. I think you language barriered me.

Badger
I don't like the Sci-Fi technical manuals. Seeing the blueprint of the Enterprise has no interest for me. (though oddly I do like knowing more about the planets of whatever Sci-Fi universe, so that probably partially restores the cred)
Pattern Ghost
I'll try to increase my geek cred when we go to a cred-based economy (if the exchange rate is good). wcw43921
Burrito Boy
I think that arguing about which one of two fictional characters would win a fight is the stupidest waste of time ever. There. That oughta obliterate my geek cred. And cheese off more than a few forum members. My work here is done. bigdamnhero

Badger
Burrito Boy or Pattern Ghost, each built with 250 points. I better be getting more than 250, a lot more.
Old Man
It's not the point total, it's how it's spent. For example, did you spend points on a knowledge skill for an obscure message board for a specialized role playing game? Cancer
Bazza
I better be getting more than 250, a lot more. -500 it is then. That is a total of -750.

Burrito Boy
Good thing, I remember absolute value from algebra class or I'd be insulted. "Absolute value? What's that?" he asked, destroying his geek cred.
Badger
Well, the simple answer is that all numbers become their positive whether or not they are negative or positive. So, -500 would have the absolute value of +500. ANd a +500 would also be +
