TheNaga
Re: Antaeus I believe he might be the reason the Conditional Power: While Touching the Ground is based on.. Antaeus, son of Gaia and Poseidon, was a Libyan giant whose strength appeared invincible. He challenged all passers-by to a wrestling match that he invariably won. Upon winning, he slaughtered his adversaries. That is, until he met Hercules. Strength of Antaeus From His Mother Gaia: Hercules eventually realized that Gaia, the earth, Antaeus' mother, was the source of his strength, so Hercules held the giant aloft until all his power had drained away. Hyper-Man
Re: Antaeus It's amazing what can be found by using the Advanced Search feature of the board: http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php/85219-V-amp-V-writeups?p=2166821#post2166821 http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php/38701-Char-Antaeus-%28The-Guardian-Forces%29?p=890457#post890457 http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php/30532-Character-for-Review-Antaeus?p=686768#post686768 And then of course there is the super secret way to look something up. TheNaga
Re: Antaeus I like this one in the link below the best. It is missing the physical description of the character such appearance, height, and weight which would make it better. I am going to use it to help me make my verison of Antaeus. Any suggestion on how I can make him original but still use the info in the link below? Right now I have his powers except for the one that come from being at least 12 feet tall or more giant coming from contact with the ground (his mother Gaea). Should his powers have Reduced Endurance? What should I call his ability I have listed below which gives him greater Pre Only Works While Character Is Touching The Ground? Thanks for the links Hyper-Man Right now he has: Str: 15 Greater Strength: +15 STR (15 Active Points) Healing from Mother Earth: Regeneration (4 BODY per Minute), Can Heal Limbs, Inherent (+1/4) (76 Active Points); Always On (-1/2), Conditional Power Power Only Works While Character Is Touching The Ground (-1/4) +10 PRE (10 Active Points); Conditional Power Power Only Works While Character Is Touching The Ground (-1/4) Strength from Mother Earth: +40 STR (40 Active Points); Conditional Power Power Only Works While Character Is Touching The Ground (-1/4) http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php/30532-Character-for-Review-Antaeus?p=686768#post686768
fbdaury
Re: Antaeus Well, technically he isn't ALWAYS 12+ ft tall, so just do it as Growth at 0 End cost, only in contact with the ground. Oops, plus extra Pre, only in contact with ground- call it Imposing Presence or whatnot.
TheNaga
Re: Antaeus I am using the Mythology verison that has him as a giant. So where can I find for sure what height would be good for him?
Major Tom 2009
Re: Antaeus You could probably get away with having him be somewhere between 10 and 12 feet tall; compared to how tall most people are, that would definitely count as being a giant.
