GhostDancer
Some of you recall the martial art Paek-Tu, from Aaron Allston's Strike Force supplement. Practitioners know the following factual material- Paek-Tu Mountain (Paek-Tu San) is a disputed site between Korea and China. Chinese call it Cho Haku Zan. Koreans consider this mountain holy. Paek-Tu is 2,744 meters tall, almost as tall as Japan's Mount Fuji. It is topped by a caldera lake, "Heaven's Pond." There is a Chinese rumor of a dinosaur in the lake, like "Nessie," the Loch Ness monster. Dulzuck is the fruit which is reaped mainly from Paek Tu Mt. region. The scientific name is VACCINIUM ULIGINOSUM LINNAEUS and this breed grows spontaneously in the hilly areas 800 meters above sea level. People in the area surrounding Mt. Paek Tu produce multiple foodstuffs with the blue berry Dulzuck. It is consumed three times daily for health, preferably before meals. assault
Re: Grand Master of Paek-Tu That was the point of Paek-Tu in the first place. It was created for a character that was at least partially a Remo Williams homage. Aaron Allston described the player as a "Pro from Dover/Copier", meaning that his characters had to be the best at what they did, while also being essentially copied from characters from the source material. CrosshairCollie
Re: Grand Master of Paek-Tu Am I the only person who reads the name of that martial art, and imagines Moe Howard? "Okay, knucklehead, Paek-tu." *PC points at two fingers* "One, two." *eyepoke*

Armitage
Re: Grand Master of Paek-Tu The most important fact about Paek-Tu...it's been illegal for years. Two Strike maneuvers with the Abort element? No. Just...no. Although these days I suppose you could buy Trigger (Action takes no time) as a Naked Advantage on your Martial Arts Strikes for a significantly higher cost to maintain the original flavor. EDIT: Which I guess would be the Counterpunch and Riposte Strike special abilities on Susano's page. Never mind. EDIT 2: Especially given the name that appears on the front cover of Hero System Martial Arts. (Hangs head in embarrassment).
GhostDancer
Re: Grand Master of Paek-Tu Let's say you're a 5th Edition holdout interested in Armitage's Trigger Advantage. Define the Trigger- "At Will"?
