Steve Long
Well, actually it's 5E villain statistics, really, but it's all in good fun. When I was doing the initial work on Champions Villains, I did a lot of search-and-replace'ing to make common changes among all character sheets to account for the 6E rules, new ways of formatting things, and so on. It saves me a lot of time. While I was doing that, just for fun I kept some "statistics" on the approximately 330 villains involved, and I thought I'd share some of them with you. Fastest villain: Taipan (SPD 12) Highest DEX: Vector (36) Prettiest: actually this should be "handsomest," since the two villains with the highest Comeliness (30) are both men: Menton and Teleios. The prettiest women are the Shadow Queen and Zephyr, both with 24 COM. Number of villains with DEX 20: 69 Number of villains with CON 20: 50 Number of villains with ED 13: 0 Number of uses of the following game terms or elements: The fraction ½: 3,652 The fraction ¼: 1,728 The fraction ¾: 142 u slots in Multipowers: 1,269 m slots in Multipowers: 149 Area Of Effect (One Hex): 60 Armor: 136 Armor Piercing: 94 Continuous: 107 Damage Resistance: 143 Damage Shield: 35 Ego Attack: 60 Energy Blast: 472 Explosion: 64 Force Field: 150 Force Wall: 51 Hand-To-Hand Attack: 49 OIHID: 90 Persistent: 46 Major Transform:
Opale
Re: CHAMPIONS VILLAINS Statistics With all those Villains and even more Heroes (probably) I think I just found how to create the most durable wealthy character of the game, with the most incredible list of contacts A Fashion specialist, seeling spandex/latex/leather bullet proofs and stuff... And so much for the COM statistic as it is no more if I remember well the 6th Edition. Just a spamming blablabla from France to thank you with the quality work you provide me (us). Jhamin
Re: CHAMPIONS VILLAINS Statistics Does this mean Dr. Ms. Frankenstein didn't make the cut for inclusion? I am crushed–crushed I say! She is a Lucha Libre Hero villain, not a Champions villain. Mere mutants and power armor heroes cannot hope to deal with the threats the Luchadores put down every night using only their pure hearts, manly ways, and sweaty tights. Steve Long
Re: CHAMPIONS VILLAINS Statistics Does this mean Dr. Ms. Frankenstein didn't make the cut for inclusion? She was never in consideration for the book in the first place. Champions Villains is a collection of, well, Champions villains, and she's a character from Lucha Libre Hero, which isn't a Champions product. I didn't include any villains from our Dark Champions, Fantasy Hero, Star Hero, or Pulp Hero villains books either.
jms1973
Re: CHAMPIONS VILLAINS Statistics Steve, one quick stats question not addressed in your initial post. What was the average points per villain character? I realize that with Dr. Destroyer and his ilk on the list its probably a massively skewed number. But it would be interesting to know what the hero's odds were one on one. Thanks.
Steve Long
Re: CHAMPIONS VILLAINS Statistics jms -- I have no idea. I've never kept stats on that, since doing so would involve actual work. One thing I am hoping to find the time to do after all three volumes of CV are out is to run a spreadsheet comparing the 5E versions of the villains with the 6E versions, and it might be possible to derive the data you're looking for from that pretty easily. I'll keep you (and everyone else) posted.
Opale
Re: CHAMPIONS VILLAINS Statistics Hi Steve, Will you include the characters created in the Shades of Black Scenario ? Lady Crow, Griffin, Yalisman and Black Paladin are a great villainous Team...
Steve Long
Re: CHAMPIONS VILLAINS Statistics Opale -- Black Paladin and Talisman are certainly in CV3, but not Chantal, Lady Crow, or the Griffin. I have some plans in mind for some of them, but for the most part I think they belong specifically to that scenario and are best not taken out of context. jms1973
Re: CHAMPIONS VILLAINS Statistics Steve, thank you for replying. I completely understand about the work involved. The most frustrating and tiring course I ever took in college was statistics. I loved finding out the answers but boy did I hate that it usually took me hours upon hours to do so. If it happens, it happens. If not, oh well. Maybe I'll try and tackle it one of these days.

Champions has always featured a larger roster of major-league villainesses than most comic universes, and Chantal has a classy Morgan le Fay vibe that IMHO would make a fine addition. Steve Long
Re: CHAMPIONS VILLAINS Statistics The most frustrating and tiring course I ever took in college was statistics. I deliberately avoided all college-level mathematics. HERO System math is about as complicated as I want to get! I'm actually kind of fascinated by some advanced mathematical stuff (e.g., topology), but I could never hack my way up the mountain to get to the point where I'd be qualified to actually study it. Steve Long
Re: CHAMPIONS VILLAINS Statistics Chantal has a classy Morgan le Fay vibe that IMHO would make a fine addition I agree on the vibe. Of course, you could just wait for the character sheet for the actual Morgan le Fay in Mythic Hero and use her....
