One notable difference relates to their birth land, Mexico. At the end of WW II, a group of heroes...not individually powerful, but surprisingly numerous and coherent...banded together to systemically root out the corruption and promote the Mexican people. By the end of the millenium, Mexico was hailed as one of the most progressive, safe, and free countries in the world. Carlos and Julio were geeky science/math college guys, interning at the Institute of Experimental Physics in La Paz, Baja Sur when The Incident happened. Something went beyond haywire, past FUBAR, and well into the realm of "no one is gonna believe this!!!" A dimensional rift somehow was formed, sucking in several team members including the lads. The passage across dimensions twisted everyone and everything caught in the area; most died, often in extremely grotesque ways. The boys did not die. Team: Quantum Force Number: 2 Theme: elementary forces Motivation: get home if possible (best guess...not possible), barring that...help clean up Mexico, root out the drug lords, the police corruption, all that stuff. God gave their Mexico a gift; it must he His Will to share it. PROBLEM: their powers are a little too.........deadly. Carlos goes by Flash. Yes, he's in Mexico, he can tell DC to lump it. His power is the photonic side of electromagnetism...anything from radio frequencies to gamma radiation. Invisibility, Images, Darkness, Sight and radio flashes. And RKAs...x-ray and gamma lasers tend to be messy. His combat form is not entirely solid. Julio goes by Sizzle. His power is also electromagnetic, but on the electrical and magnetic side. His combat form seethes with crackling static (and the associated ozone) that hurts almost anyone else (but not his brother). He mixes hand to hand with magnetic-pulse ranged attacks. Both can fly; Carlos can for brief moments convert entirely into light, and then move at lightspeed. He can extend this power to his brother ONLY. This makes catching the two...rather difficult. (Rules-wise, since FTL doesn't work in atmosphere, treat as huge Megascale Teleport, with the extra phase being perhaps a state transition to the full-light form.) Part of the problem is they're just not nearly as well trained as they need to be and *want* to be. They're pretty good kids; killing does NOT sit well. The DEA, and heroes along the Mexican border, are watching...and possibly offering up assistance and training on the QT. The Mexican government's stance is mixed. Are either of these guys martial artists because that's what we need to fill out the second Zen Team CES

Sundog
Karl Mueller never wanted to be a hero. In fact, if things hadn't taken a very strange turn, he would have probably been a criminal. Karl was in Japan to get hand-to-hand training. He was already good - he'd been a hand-to-hand instructor in the Bundeswehr before the powers that be found out about his little smuggling ring. He figured, get really good, then hire out as an enforcer to the East European crime families - who needs a gun when you can break someone with your bare hands? Unfortunately, while he found an excellent teacher and was getting well along in his studies, a Kaiju stepped on the building. The old sensei was mortally wounded. Karl got him out of the building to somewhere safe - he wasn't heartless, after all, and he kind of liked the old guy - but there was nothing anyone could do. The old man gestured to Karl to come in close, and whispered his last words to his last student: "Try to be the good man it is within you to be." With that, Karl felt the old man's spirit flow through him. While the sensei's consciousness went on to his great mystery, his eighty years of skill and knowledge stayed with Karl, transforming him from merely good to virtually superhuman. Karl is still abrasive, annoying and doesn't really give much of a care to Japanese sensibilities - which is one reason he and Coordinator get along. But he's trying to be a better man, and as Redemption do a bit better then he used to.

Sundog
Let's have the heroic reverse of something I tried before - five heroes of tiny stature, The Little Legion.
death tribble
The Dragon Fairy It's a dragon with fairy wings able to breathe fire. Small of stature but able to bring down major characters with magical fire which can burn to a crisp or stun. It's speed and agility prevent it from being hurt. It does not talk but does understand what is being said to it. Quackhell
csyphrett
Grady Shorn is The Borrower. He is naturally six inches tall, but can borrow height from those around him, shrinking them in the process. CES Quackhell
Quackhell
Blip Dr. Roz Wexler and her partners in the small tech firm Cleanroom Consultants were developing the Hyper Spatial Shift Suit which would allow the wearer to teleport. Unfortunately during the final test run they suit had a power flux and when Roz teleported to the target location she was now 12 inches tall. Despite their best efforts Roz and her partners were unable to reverse the process, but the suit still allowed her to teleport. One day the teams work was disrupted when the superstrong brick Manvil was rampaging through the city near their work lab. Roz sprang into action and used her teleportation abilities to harass and distract Manvil by "blipping" around him and eventually was able to lead him away from the city and tricked him into falling into some wet cement at a construction site. Inspired by the encounter she began her career as a hero. While not a strong offensive combatant she is able to act as a great distraction. Her suit also creates a small field around it that allows her to teleport items she is holding like enemy weapons or devices as we as her fellow Legion members. She is limited by only being able to teleport in her line of site, but the team is working on using a drone or other tech to enhance her capability and of course still trying to return her to normal size. death tribble
death tribble
The Shrink This dwarf can reduce their size even further earning them the name of The Shrink. This has the effect of increasing their speed. He will then manoeuvre under a target and grow using momentum to injure someone. He gets a kick out of using his powers and will hunt on his own if the others are not looking for opponents. This has got him into trouble but he seems not to mind or to care. csyphrett
Micromolecular Man uses shrinking to teleport, walk through walls, and attack enemy organs. csyphrett
Amalgam City has long been the home of All Star and the Legionnaires of Victory. death tribble
Eagle Claw Some say that this hero comes from ancient Egypt and is constantly reincarnated to fight against evil. Others say that he is an alien police officer. But he is also a mutant with an increased healing factor and bones bonded with a rare metal that allows him to manifest claws. He is fascinated with Japan and has learned martial arts there. Any way he is here to fight crime. She is descended from a long line of woman warriors who support the old gods of Olympus. She can tie people up to make them tell her the truth. She is a skilled martial artist and a detective,. death tribble
Dark Side of the Moon This heroine has darkness powers and mind powers. She tends to drop a darkness field on someone and then use mental powers on them otherwise she blasts someone with dark powers. (Saturn Girl and Shadow Lass in case you had not guessed) New Team: The Twelve Apostles This organisation has been around for a number of years and the members always number twelve. They have faith in God but are of no one faith. Originally Christian members can now be Islamic, Jewish or Buddhist. Although they can have faith based powers it is their belief in God that qualifies them as members of the group. The group fights evil in all its forms from literal like demons and devils to organisations that practice evil such as murder, embezzlement and kidnapping. They do not have to have the same names as the twelve apostles in the bible. Can be men or women. Maximum of 12, minimum of 5 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostles
death tribble
Judith Vaughn is one of the newer members of the group and is a Buddhist. She found too much hatred in her own Christian upbringing and tenets of Islam dismayed her. It was at college that she had a spiritual awakening and became a Buddhist. She became a vegetarian and found that through meditation she could feel or sense evil. Judith cannot and will not lie. She has gone out into the world to fight evil and help others. She is one of the scouts of the group and has been trained to track and conduct surveillance. She has become aware that there is something horrible in Los Angeles ((Infernal Affairs) but that there are also others who are not supernaturally based but are as evil and deadly (The Corruption and The Dreamstealers). She is currently trying to understand the history of The Night Battalion She uses the name Sadhana She was surprised to find out about other religious based heroes like The Devil Killers and has met Father Stevens whose defeat of The Beast Azal is a bit of a legend in the supernatural community
Badger
I've got 2 ideas (second still working on). The first. Eliza Corey, age 20, is one of the younger members. From a deeply religious Christian family from a more sparsely populated part of Maine. She supposedly has a genealogical connection to the famed Giles Corey. She has 2 God-given powers. The 1st is to sense the presence of any malevolent entity or energy in an area no matter how well hidden. Her 2nd is the ability to bind/paralyze the entity. How long depends on the strength of the entity. Without any offensive abilities she is often accompanied by another member, as a bodyguard of sorts on missions. death tribble
csyphrett
Ishmael Buchanan is known as the Harpooner. His weapon allows him to put a target down either from stabbing, or throwing like lightning. Secondary effects allow him to use it to fly, point at things, and various other effects having to deal with distance. death tribble
Preceptor The Apostles always have one that is called Preceptor. Their responsibility is to keep the other Apostles in line and focused on task. Sometimes this as had disastrous results depending on the ego of the person involved. Mark Nicholas is the current Preceptor and has learned to disable people by shooting weapons out of their hands. He is the spiritual adviser for the group and backs up the members of the Apostles with what they need such as money, passports, safe houses etc. He wears kevlar as he knows that evil organisations employ people who use guns. He is practical unlike some of his predecessors.
Badger
The stone golem named now by the group as "Jacob the Rock" was created in the 19th century to protect Jews in Russia from the pogroms. He usually used as an assistant of sorts on missions. Often tasked with bodyguard duty to Eliza. 8 foot tall and made of stone. Yet still with peak agility and flexibility when activated. And does have individual thought to make him as good a warrior as possible (though doggishly loyal to his teammates). He does need to be deactivated for a few days every month to maintain peak ability. (Which does leave him vulnerable, if not protected) death tribble
Aurora.Sing
As you can see by my avatar A's tagline, I am a complete newbie but this looked so fun that I wanted to give it a shot. Female hero name: Revelations middle aged precognitive fire mage who can only see the worst possible outcome of the future. She has extremely powerful fire powers but she needs to build up to them so she only uses them near the end of battles. Quackhell
