Susano
Re: As A Hero Gamer, Do You Use The Surbrook's Stuff Website? I visit it and have utilized most parts at one time or another. Including the art and photo galleries? I'm asking as progress is being made for a total overhaul and redesign and I think some parts may be (re)moved. Barwickian
Re: As A Hero Gamer, Do You Use The Surbrook's Stuff Website? Aside from herogames.com, yours and Killer Shrike's sites are my most-visited Hero sites. I've visited most sections of the site over the years. I tend to find the essays and advice sections the most useful. The character database, although not immediately useful to me per se, is one of the most interesting parts of the site as it helps me understand character creation better. Pictures the could be superheroes and the art galleries are probably the least useful to me. I've throughly enjoyed the fiction, though - especially the Kazei 5 stuff, which helps flesh out the setting.

Possibly Deviant Art. "Pictures That Could Be Superheroes" will stay, if only as a creative exercise for my, and as a source of original character ideas. Mickael
Re: As A Hero Gamer, Do You Use The Surbrook's Stuff Website? As a new hero gamer, I've read a lot of different characters from your gallery, to learn how to build this or that thing. I haven't had time enough to visit the other parts, but if you say that some are going to disappear, I'll hurry up !

Steve
Re: As A Hero Gamer, Do You Use The Surbrook's Stuff Website? When I visit Surbrook's Stuff, most (90+%) of what I use are the character archives and the world books. I don't have much interest in the art areas, except where there's a character write-up (like the "Pictures That Could Be Superheroes" section). As to what could be added, I'd love to see more campaign information (such as for Kazei 5). Maybe a playtest section of work in development that you are looking for input on. RexMundi
Re: As A Hero Gamer, Do You Use The Surbrook's Stuff Website? If it's not broke, don't fix it. Great resource site. RexMundi
Re: As A Hero Gamer, Do You Use The Surbrook's Stuff Website? A HERO gaming orientated collection of Demotivational Posters and what not ......heh.... Either way, the Site has ALWAYS proven useful. Especially on the Manga and Anime side of things. it doesn't seem broken, and I'm a firm believer in if it's not broke, don't fix it. ~Rex

Smaller size overall, easier to update, allows for things like reader replies and blogging (if I think that's needed). Also nicer interface and easier access to different sections. Susano
Re: As A Hero Gamer, Do You Use The Surbrook's Stuff Website? The plan to enact this and have it ready by... well... no later than the end of the year. Hopefully far sooner. Hence my request for input and the like. Xavier Onassiss
Re: As A Hero Gamer, Do You Use The Surbrook's Stuff Website? I'll admit my opinion is biased, but since you asked; I use the World Books section on a regular basis. (And you're hosting a ton of my stuff there, so...yeah.) I've also made good use of many other sections.

I'm asking as progress is being made for a total overhaul and redesign and I think some parts may be (re)moved. Well, to be honest, as an artist I rarely have a need for your art. I also stay away from the anime/manga stuff (though I realize that's some of your favorite gaming)
RexMundi
Re: As A Hero Gamer, Do You Use The Surbrook's Stuff Website? Yeah but as a person with the artistic ability, of a Canadian Goose that flew head first into the intake of a Republic F-105 Thunderchief, I find the Art useful. Especially for visually challenged players, since the Artistically Gifted players I know, are to stuck up and artsy orientated to share Art with and for the neanderthals at the table still drawing Stick Figures on the cave walls. ~Rex...Oogg Draw....with Splat! bobooton
Re: As A Hero Gamer, Do You Use The Surbrook's Stuff Website? As a time-strapped person, anything that helps pare down prep time is wonderful. Art is always useful, so can't go wrong there. Pure setting material will be useful, but writeups won't be useful to me unless they're in 6E terms. A lot of work went into the 5E stuff on the site, but it's (unfortunately) dated now. While I'm still accepting 5E stuff, anything I do now is in 6E. Also, the 5E stuff isn't all that dated. Most of the numbers stay the same (a 10d6 EB just becomes a 10d6 Blast) it's just the costs change. Also, I'm including the Hero Designer files with most things, so you can edit the character as you wish.
