Lawnmower Boy
Re: Is "ether" real? I get all my new physical theories from websites. Jour. Physics A? For losers. Oh, and Dr. Pournelle? Every time one of the beloved science fiction authors of my youth tries out stupid science for political purposes, it's like something crawled into my mouth and died. Of gangrene. So it's lucky that it's just you and Hogan. Of course with Hogan there's the excuse that there must be, at some level, mental health issues at work. What's your excuse? Because from where I stand, it is pure political hackery. Remember that bit about "now is the time for every good man to come to the aid of the party?" Political parties exist to provide leadership. What kind of leaders offer their country ideasthat can be disproven with math?

Old Man
Re: Is "ether" real? I could use both of those in my life, that's for damn sure. Ether and superrelativity both sound a lot better than timecube.

SteveZilla
Re: Is "ether" real? Maybe you should try capturing him with an ether net. But to get a look at where I'm throwing it, I'd have to take an Etherpeek first.
