By connecting electrodes and radio antennas to the nervous systems of beetles, the researchers were able to make them take off, dive and turn on command. Just think of the possibilites... We're implanting electrodes into the brains of other creatures to control them. Even if they are "just beetles," there's a cold-bloodedness to this research that I find disturbing.
