ajackson
There's a flyer for 6e, which was mentioned here. It has some preview pages, most of which we have seen, but one we haven't seen is a character sheet. Said character sheet is nearly unreadable, as the resolution is very poor, but nearly unreadable isn't quite the same as totally unreadable. Here's my attempt to parse Hurr-Ghaas: Str: looks like a 15, cost 5 Dex: looks like it might be an 18, but the stat roll looks like it might be a 14-, and the cost looks like 14, so this may be 24 (cost 14), or 18 (cost 16) or 15 (cost 10). Con: looks identical to str; it's probably 15(5). Int: looks identical to str; it's probably 15(5) Ego: looks like it might be a 10 (cost 0) Pre: looks like it might an 18 (cost 8) OCV: looks like 5 (cost 10) DCV: same as OCV. OECV, DECV: looks like 3 (cost 0) SPD: clearly 4 (based on the phase list), and looks like cost 20. PD: looks like 4 (cost unreadable, but probably 2) ED: looks like 4 (cost 2) Rec?: looks like 4 (cost 2) End?: looks vaguely like 30 (cost 2) BODY: looks like 13 (cost 3) STUN: looks like 30 (cost 5) Powers: I can't find meaningful content. Perks: something costs 3 Talents: something costs 3 Skills: I think I see +1 with ranged weapons (4) I think I see navigation(land) costing 4. Costs otherwise look familiar Complications: I can't find meaningful content. Anyone wanna make their own guesses?
lemming
Re: Reading the blurry handout.... I could tell you it's page 260 of 6E2. He's one of the many example characters.

Klaus Mogensen
Re: Reading the blurry handout.... Here's my attempt to parse Hurr-Ghaas: Dex: looks like it might be an 18, but the stat roll looks like it might be a 14-, and the cost looks like 14, so this may be 24 (cost 14), or 18 (cost 16) or 15 (cost 10). Would be interesting if it were 24 (cost 14), since that would mean there's no doubling for going past 20. OCV: looks like 5 (cost 10) That suggests base 3, cost 5 per +1 - not too surprising. Rec?: looks like 4 (cost 2) End?: looks vaguely like 30 (cost 2) BODY: looks like 13 (cost 3) STUN: looks like 30 (cost 5) If REC is base 2, cost has been dropped to 1. If END is base 20, and you read the numbers correctly, END cost has been dropped to 5 END for 1 point. If STUN is base 20, cost has been dropped to ½. These are significant reductions, particularly for END. - Klaus
jtelson
Re: Reading the blurry handout.... Would be interesting if it were 24 (cost 14)' date=' since that would mean there's no doubling for going past 20.[/quote'] It would seem to me that decoupling figured characteristics was likely to remove or at least significantly reduce the cost benefit to characteristics. If it's no longer adventageous to purchase characteristics over other abilities then NCM becomes unnecessary not just as a disad but as anything other than a campaign limit determined by setting. Once you're at that point caps are likely to be hard (Nothing over) rather than soft (Pay double)
Vondy
Re: Reading the blurry handout.... Its a free flier intended for public release. Why not just ask for a blow up of the character sheet in question? Its not classified material. Besides, following gen-con, the board is going to be flooded with system info. azato
Re: Reading the blurry handout.... 1. Because that it too easy. 2. Because that takes all the fun out of it. We are HERO gamers, after all. Its a free flier intended for public release. Why not just ask for a blow up of the character sheet in question? Its not classified material. Besides, following gen-con, the board is going to be flooded with system info.
