I still stick by my prediction that Hero System will balloon up to almost 1000 pages by 7th edition, then shrink by half or more for 8th as the quest for simplification becomes more urgent. That's not a criticism, by the way, just an observation. 7th will probably be the shark-jumping moment for rules length/complexity while still maintaining playability, and it will become obvious that the system is headed towards a serious trim down. I really dug the simple layout of the elements on the cover, the typography, and the black and green worked. This...well, someone said it above, looks like high school colors. The positioning of the elements is nice though and I like the Volume 1 sideline. Hopefully that's on the spine as well. But the colors? Ow my eyes. You like the colors or you don't. Fine. Get over it. For each of you that hates the color there's someone else that likes it. Why insult the people who chose them? And for the record, my highschool's chief rival were the Panthers and their colors were green and black (hhmm, what else had those colors?), so that complaint/description about the book is just plain stupid. As to HS colours, the first HS I went to was Black and Orange and the one I graduated from was Blue and White. I have no idea what the colours of any of our rivals were...
